Biography
After the Conservatory where she took lessons from Raymond Girard, Nicole Calfan entered the Comédie-Française where she remained six years until 1968. The same year, she appeared for the first at the cinema in Le Grand amour by Pierre Etaix, then in Borsalino by Jacques Deray (1969). She specializes in the characters of light young girls in the films of Jean Yanne, and of thug girlfriends in thrillers (Le Casse by Henri Verneuil, 1970; Le Gang à nouveau by Jacques Deray, 1976).
The actress made an international foray with the role of Kitty in The Three Musketeers (1972) and the sequel We Called Milady (1974). Set back in the 80s and 90s, Nicole Calfan made a remarkable comeback as a bourgeois stepmother in La Vérite si je mens! 2 by Thomas Gilou (2001) and plays the abandoned woman by François Berléand in Une employee model de Jacques Otmezguine (2003).
