Natalya Nikolaevna Zhdanova entered the history of Russian regional politics as the first woman governor of Siberia. In 2016, Zhdanova became the head of the Trans-Baikal Territory, moving from a teacher to the speaker of the regional parliament. 54.39% of voters voted for her.

And during this period Natalya Nikolaevna, after a year of work as a translator, returned to her native school. First she became a deputy, and then the head of the institution. Fate seemed to test the strength of the young woman, it was not easy to survive. But she managed to keep the team and prevent strikes.

Natalia Zhdanova worked as the director of the educational institution until 2001, turning it into a multidisciplinary language gymnasium. Then the talented manager was invited to head the city education committee.

This was the first step towards a future political career. Zhdanova's next job is in the government of the Trans-Baikal Territory, a new region formed by the merger of the Chita Region and the Aginsky Buryat District. The woman took up the post of Deputy Prime Minister for Social Affairs in 2008.

In 2013, the head of the region was replaced. Konstantin Ilkovsky became the new governor. He appointed Zhdanova Acting Minister of Education, Science and Youth Policy of the region.
