Biography
Nahuel Pérez Biscayart takes his first steps as an actor on Argentine television. From the age of 17, he appeared in several miniseries ( Disputas , Sol Negro , Sangre fría ...). We also find him in the Argentinian adaptation of Desperate Housewives, Amas de casa desesperadas , in which he plays the character equivalent to Zach Young, very present in the first moments of the series. In the cinema, the young actor begins with small roles but already plays alongside the big ones; including superstar Ricardo Darin in El Aura, Fabián Bielinsky's latest film. He then appeared in Ariel Winograd's debut feature in 2006, Cara de queso -mi primer ghetto-, the story of a group of teenagers from the suburbs of Buenos Aires. The young actor also landed several main roles ( Tatuado who points out, Glue ...).
Although he confides that he has never dreamed of cinema, Nahuel Pérez Biscayart nevertheless sees his acting career flourish, divided between author films and mainstream television series. In 2010, he made his first foray into international cinema with Benoît Jacquot, who directs him in Au fond des bois alongside Isild Le Besco. The actor continues to chain films and series in his native country and receives new proposals in Switzerland and Belgium (Je suis à toi by David Lambert ...).
He returns to France with Rebecca Zlotowski's Grand Central, but it's Robin Campillo who reveals him in 120 beats per minute, a love story set against a background of militant combat at the time of the creation of Act-Up Paris, unanimously hailed at the Cannes Film Festival. 2017 is definitely his year since it follows Albert Dupontel's ambitious Goodbye Up there. In this adaptation of Pierre Lemaitre's novel, Goncourt Prize in 2013, he plays a silent artist who sets up a scam at war memorials. These two films, favorites for the 43rd César ceremony with 13 nominations each, propel Nahuel Pérez Biscayart who won a citation in the category of best male hope.
