The musical works of Nafkat Nigmatullin have long been revered on the Tatar-Bashkir stage, along with the songs of Aydar Galimov, Rishat Tukhvatullin, Firdus Tyamaev and other performers, as well as the untimely departed Haniya Farhi and Vasily Fattakhova. According to the artist, music attracted him from an early age, and from childhood he listened to Farida Kudasheva, Alfia Avzalova, Ilgam Shakirov, Fidan Gafarov, Ilfak Smakov, and from the age of 5 he began to try to sing on his own. Subsequently, not a single extra-curricular event at the school was complete without Nafkat, and the lesson where children learned songs and memorized the names of composers seemed a real holiday.

He did not betray his hobby either at the Kazan Agrarian University, where he entered in 1979. However, the student did not succeed in graduating from the university: first because of the Mikhail Chistyakov Higher Artillery Command and Engineering School, where he stayed from 1980 to 1982, then because of the advice to study music professionally in a specialized institution where he ended up under the wing of Raisa Salmanovna Nurieva.

The debut collection on music services is "Serle chachegem", which includes the hits "Sina gyna" ("Only for you"), "Serle chachek" ("Mysterious flower") and "Chechekler uyanir" ("Flowers wake up"). And the next year, under the authorship of the artist, there were two records at once.

At first, Nigmatullin did not like to talk to questions about his personal life and, jokingly, suggested leaving this section of his biography a secret. But in March 2016, I could not refuse my compatriot, the journalist of Yanaul Dawns, Raushaniya Garifullina, in a conversation about his wife and hobbies.

It is known that in Kazan, the couple lived for 10 years next to the childhood idol and senior friend of Nafkat - Alfia Avzalovna Avzalova. After her death, the man turned out to be one of the main participants in the Moscow International Festival, organized by the singer's daughters in March 2019 and dedicated to her memory.

By the way, in June 2017, no less talented namesake of Nafkat Timergalievich, novice performer Marat Nigmatullin published on his own YouTube channel a video for the song “Cornflower Sky”, which was later included in the debut disc “Sparks over Water”. It is known that, despite the outward resemblance, men are not related.

In 2019, two stars of the Tatar and Bashkir pop music - Landysh Nigmatzhanova and Nafkat Nigmatullin - sang the duet "Suyu uty kabyzdyk".
