My Conservative Parents Are Driving Me Crazy

By annisayudhoyono October 31, 2020 7 answers Last updated October 31, 2020

Hello! I am a 14 year old girl. I have many conservative parents. I don't know why, but I prefer to go out with people older than me (say, 18-19 years old). My parents don't let me go out with boys, let alone have a boyfriend. They do not allow me to go out with people older than 15 years. They prefer me to go out only with children my age and if possible to be from my class, and if they know them and are exemplary angels it will be great for them. There are other small things that suffocate me a lot. 1-2-3-4-5 .... things that forbid me and at one point become so much that they just suffocate me. Sometimes when I go out with my 2 best friends and a boy 1 year older .... and then when I go home and look at ours ... just the thought that they don't give it to me and I do it goes crazy. But still ... what am I doing wrong !? !! Didn't I go to fuck everyone I saw (I'm a virgin)? !? !! Conversations don't help ... at all! I don't know what they will do to me if they find out that I go out with people aged 16-17 who are metal (I know that most people have a very wrong impression of metal, but the ones I go out with are well chosen by me and are unique people :)) At least I don't have a problem listening to metal, because that would have crossed all boundaries (I'm pretty sure they don't cause me a lot of problems with metal, because my uncle is metal ... and yes). I just wanted you to help me in some way, because all this suffocates me terribly !! Thank you! :) that most people have a very wrong impression of metals, but the ones I go out with are well chosen by me and are unique people :)) At least I don't mind listening to metal, because it would have crossed all boundaries (I'm almost convinced that they don't cause me very big problems with metal, because my uncle is metal ... and yes). I just wanted you to help me in some way, because all this suffocates me terribly much !! Thank you! :) that most people have a very wrong impression of metals, but the ones I go out with are well chosen by me and are unique people :)) At least I don't mind listening to metal, because it would have crossed all boundaries (I'm almost convinced that they don't cause me very big problems with metal, because my uncle is metal ... and yes).    I'm glad my mother isn't conservative (we only live in twins; e). I told her she can't interfere in my relationship when I have a boyfriend and she totally agrees with me! I'm happy. I told her I'm not a child and she agrees, she allows me to go out with whomever I want and I don't have an evening class, great. But that doesn't mean she's all right, let's be clear! 16g girl

Yes, you know you are so lucky! Seriously! Better to have conservative parents who care about you than those who don't care if you're alive or dead! Yes, their care must weigh on you, but it won't last forever. Just a few more years. As long as you have their love and support, you will have them forever. Now I'm going to tell you a story to see that it could be a lot worse. I had a girlfriend, I'll call her X. So X's parents were divorced and she lived with her mother, but neither her mother nor her father, and they were very close to X. Each of them was immersed in his own care and X he did what he wanted all day. Set aside life and it was great. She went where she wanted, she did what she wanted, she didn't report to anyone ... on top of that, her parents had opportunities and money. In short, the dream of every teenager. Until at one point he got together with bad people and became a plague. At a party, things got out of hand and X was raped. And only then did she admit to herself that she had been lonely and unhappy for years and was doing all these crazy things with alcohol and partying for a single purpose. Make her parents notice her! Because they were so busy arranging their own lives that they had forgotten that they had a daughter who wanted not only money but also attention. So, is that what you want? I don't believe it, so be glad that their parents care about you, because knowing that no one cares is much, much scarier! and again I tell you, just a little patience. When you turn 18, no one will impose anything on you. that for years she has been lonely and unhappy and doing all these crazy things with alcohol and partying for a single purpose. Make her parents notice her! Because they were so busy arranging their own lives that they had forgotten that they had a daughter who wanted not only money but also attention.    So try to somehow put them in your place, to show them the walls they have built around you. I know he said the conversations didn't help, but I don't see another reasonable way out. Ask them why you can't do this and that. Explain to them how you feel. Try to make deals (eg 3 sixes in a row = lifting a ban for 10 days) ... Be persistent and convincing! When they go out somewhere, tell them to imagine someone not letting them go out. Let them know clearly that you need personal space and life! Do not give up. If necessary, harass them. I hope I was helpful. I believe you will succeed. The village

From the author - Thank you! I really had the urge for someone not to listen and give me advice :) Number 2 - I can't introduce them to my friends because they are 16-17 years old. and they are 2 heads above me, with flashes, they have a tattoo and when they see them they will go crazy and forbid me to leave us :) They are just quite conservative. My father is a Muslim (people who profess this religion are generally narrower and anyone who is different from the others is discriminated against and rejected by Muslims. Besides, my father doesn't even let me go out with boys and girls are under 15 . Age :() Number 3 - Thank you for your time :) Number 4 - I tried to put them in my place and the result is the following "you are 14 years old. You will do what we tell you. When you become big, do what you say. you want. etc. "They are quite conservative .. and I definitely need advice! Otherwise, thank you very much for your time and advice :)

Oh my God. Number (3) are you okay? Who said that such parents are better, but GOD, neither of the two options is good. It is better when everything has its limits. This suffocates people, everyone needs freedom, what are you talking about? So exactly at the age of 15-16 it is time to live your life and have fun, not to be allowed to do anything. To the author: unfortunately I have a friend who is the same way, but she managed to show them that they are wrong and that they can trust her. Do the same and talk to them.

I notice that there is not much room for you in your relationship. There is room only for their wishes, requirements and claims and you obviously do not know where to stand in this relationship, but unfortunately I am in the same situation and I do not know what to advise you. I hope that you can establish some adequate contact with them, because with such parents it is very difficult to talk, they do not move a millimeter of their own and do not accept other people's opinion. And if, after all, you can talk to them, try to explain things to them honestly and openly and ask them for more freedom and understanding.
