Hello, I recently moved to a small block around which are mostly houses. In one of these houses I noticed that a very handsome young boy lived. Although we are very close to each other, we do not greet almost all the neighbors, which is a bit strange. So this boy lives alone, I rarely see him here, he looks nice and polite. My question is whether it would be strange if I smiled at him the next time I saw him. On the one hand we are neighbors after all, but on the other we are strangers. I don't know, it's weird ...

Don't just smile at him - you can greet him! What is so strange to him, to smile / greet / talk to a neighbor is a kind of politeness, if not something else, and only Bulgarians look at it as something abnormal. Take him greetings, next time ask him how he is, then you can talk to him, and if he thinks you are weird, then his upbringing and culture are so important ... If you want anything to happen, you have to act !!
