Movie - For Better Or For Worse?

The Story

Hello. A girl in high school is writing to you, and I'm a little disapproving of the fact that in literature, the next book we're going to take ... we're not actually going to read it, we're going to watch a movie in class. I won't name the book in question, but it was thick on paper. I'm the type of student who studies regularly and reads what he needs. And more - reading is my passion, solace, hobby. And for me personally, I don't mind reading the book - I started it. My problem is that our teacher should teach us that reading helps, not watching a movie. Maybe we won't have time to read the book (considering it's a holiday now), but maybe we could analyze individual chapters and different layers. I think more liberated teachers are harming children in the long run. If there is a heavy book - watch the movie. If you don't have time - watch the movie. I do not approve of this idea at all, to release films for school purposes before the book is read, understood. It is possible that my understandings are old-fashioned, but I prefer strict teachers and without feeling it, they build discipline and culture in general. Not 'cool' teachers. Sorry for the mistakes!
