Biography
Morris Chestnut began studying finance before turning to drama. In the early '90s, the young man appeared in an episode of Freddy's The Nightmare of Your Nights, before playing Ice Cube's half-brother Ricky, an athletic high school student seeking a scholarship, in Boyz. 'n the Hood, feature debut by John Singleton. A true public and critical success, presented at the Cannes Film Festival in the Un Certain Regard section, the film realistically tells the life of young people in the southern district of Los Angeles.
