Oksimiron is often compared to Eminem, because in the biographies of both performers there is a thorny road to fame. Miron Yanovich Fedorov (real name of the singer) was born on January 31, 1985 in the city on the Neva (Leningrad, USSR). The future rap artist grew up in an average intelligent family: his father was educated as a theoretical physicist and worked in the scientific field, and his mother worked in a local library. Initially, the boy studied at the Leningrad school number 185, but then, when he was 9 years old, the Fedorov family moved to the city of Essen (Germany).

В 2012 году Оксимирон презентовал интернет-релиз микстейпа miXXXtape I, а в 2013-м вышел в свет второй сборник песен «miXXXtape II: Долгий путь домой», который содержал композиции, выпущенные в 2012–2013 годах («Детектор лжи», «Неваляшка», «До зимы», «Не от мира сего», «Признаки жизни»).

В 2017 году зрители «Ютьюба» стали свидетелями баттла Оксимирона и рэпера Славы КПСС (Гнойный), который является представителем баттл-площадки SlovoSPB. Дело в том, что Гнойный затронул Окси в тексте с предыдущего баттла:

Оксимирон свое поражение списал на присутствие большого количества лирики в выступлении, тогда как популярностью пользуется хайп Гнойного.

В 2017-м рэпер записал совместную композицию с группой «Би-2». Песню «Пора возвращаться домой», размещенную на ютьюб-канале Оксимирона, музыканты посвятили российским эмигрантам. Оксимирон вступился за активиста и создал рэп-композицию, в которой использовал диктофонные записи голоса Раджабова, сделанные в суде, а также написанные им стихи, которые заключенный передал через адвоката. Также рэпер вместе с коллегами Славой КПСС, Димой Бамбером и другими исполнителями написал открытое письмо в поддержку фигурантов «московского дела».

В феврале 2020-го вышел сингл «В книге все было по-другому», ставший 4-й частью 17-го независимого баттла Hip-Hop.ru. В этот раз соперником Оксимирона стал Asylllum. В 6-минутном треке музыкант продемонстрировал таланты чтеца на русском, а в конце — на казахском языке. По условиям конкурса в песне было много панчей («подколок», острот) в адрес соперника. В предыдущем раунде победила также композиция Оксимирона «Где нас нет», за что он получил от организаторов символический денежный приз — 5 тыс. руб. Противником рэпера в тот раз стал писатель Олег Бондарев.
