The adults noticed their son's artistic inclinations quite early on. Milan began his theatrical career even before entering the university, becoming part of the corpses of the youth group "Dadov". And at the age of 15, he played the first role in a television project, impressed by older colleagues, which included leading Yugoslav actors, with charisma and discipline.

Immediately after graduating from the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in 2013, he became a permanent member of the troupe of the Yugoslav Drama Theater, in which, along with the theaters Atelier 212, Bitef and Kruševac, he performed a number of leading roles.

The cinematic biography of Milan Maric started in 2011. The actor got a role in the film "The Smell of Rain in the Balkans". Several more films followed. 2015 was marked for Milan Maric with the projects "Moisture", "Good Woman" and Santa Maria della Salute, a couple of years later the actor's filmography was replenished with the role of the young Vukan Nemanich in the television series "Nemanichi - the birth of the kingdom".

But real fame not only in his native country, but also abroad came to the actor after the film by Alexei German "Dovlatov", where Milan got the main role. The film was released in 2018. For a long time, the director kept a secret who will play the main character. There were suggestions that this actor would be Danila Kozlovsky, Artur Vakha or even Maxim Vitorgan.

As the actor said, a Serbian artist acquaintance who lives and works in St. Petersburg informed about the casting for the project Maric. The girl heard that a film about Dovlatov would be shot, and remembered Milana, who has a lot of similarities with this writer.
