Mikhail Vladimirovich Svetov was born on January 4, 1985 in Moscow. He was brought up in a family of doctors who adhered to liberal views. Their position influenced the formation of their son.

For some time, Mikhail lived in Japan, where he studied the language. He witnessed the Fukushima tragedy. Soon the guy became interested in cinema and entered the academy in New Zealand. Svetov won the script competition, and his creation was filmed under the name Jackpot.

In the early stages of his biography, the young man began blogging on the LiveJournal platform. There he first mentioned libertarianism. In 2010, the political scientist joined the Libertarian Party of Russia.

At the end of July 2019, the politician was detained after negotiations at the Moscow mayor's office.
