Mikhail Morozov

Mikhail Morozov is a Soviet and Russian theater and film actor, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation. He starred in such famous films as "Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson", "Genius", "Did you call the doctor?" and "Plague".

Mikhail was born and raised in St. Petersburg and showed artistic inclinations at an early age. The parents decided not to contradict their son's desire to go on stage and allowed him to enter the Leningrad State Institute of Theater, Music and Cinematography. There Morozov studied under the Honored Artist of the RSFSR Professor Arkady Katsman.

After graduating from high school, the young artist was invited to join his troupe by the St. Petersburg State Academic Bolshoi Drama Theater named after G.A.Tovstonogov. There Mikhail Morozov performs to this day, although at the end of the 80s he left the theater for several years. 

In addition to dramatic performances, the actor can be seen in numerous mono performances and literary evenings, which Mikhail Leonidovich puts on his own. In order to expand the circle of listeners, as a presenter, he appeared at several radio stations in the Northern capital with the author's program "Frost resistance" about classical music, theater and literature.

Over the years of performances, Morozov has accumulated colossal creative experience and decided that they need to be shared with the younger generation. He lectures not only at the Theater Academy, but also at the Humanities University and the Academy of Opera Singers of the Mariinsky Theater. Also, the actor is a teacher at the First St. Petersburg School of Television and Advertising.

In the cinema, Mikhail Morozov made his debut almost simultaneously with his first appearance on the professional theatrical stage. He starred in the military drama about the Second World War "Detachment", and also played the young teacher Vyacheslav Kuzmin in the teenage romantic film "Almost the same age", where he showed that the teacher can be the best friend of children.

Later he took part in the creation of the detective "Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson: The Twentieth Century Begins", the dramatic film "First Meeting, Last Meeting", a criminal parody "Genius". In the 90s, the actor was more involved in dubbing foreign films and returned to his direct profession in the new century.
