The first fame fell on Mikhail Grebenshchikov thanks to his participation in the project of Channel 1 "Star Factory". It was then, in 2002, that he declared himself as a bright personality and a unique musician with his own style and writing original songs. Then he was 25 years old.

Biography of Misha Grebenshchikov began on March 10, 1976 in Voronezh. From childhood, the boy adored music, especially foreign music, he listened to Heavy Metal and at the age of 9 he became a member of this informal movement. On his tenth birthday, the future singer asked his parents to give him a guitar. They made their son's dream come true, and from about this age Misha began to learn to play the instrument.

Since childhood, the boy was fond of dancing and football. After finishing nine classes, Grebenshchikov entered a technical school, which he did not finish, as he decided that the installation business was not his path. In the same year, he entered a dance school, to which he had not been taken before due to his small stature (now the artist's height is 170 cm).

In the spring of 1991, having tried himself as a DJ, he decided to create a group called Creazy of dance, and then in 1993, together with his friend and colleague DJ Sergeev, they started a new project DJ MMM. The new group quickly gained popularity. Mikhail and his team traveled all over Russia up and down. They acted as the opening act for Gaza Strip, Bogdan Titomir and the Bachelor Party.

In 1994, he joined the army to pay back his homeland. Misha served for two years, and then decided to try himself in a new role. In 1996, Misha Grebenshchikov was invited to the Voronezh "Russian Radio", where he became the host of the "Dance Floor" program, which lasted more than five years. But the future star is getting fewer radio broadcasts, he dreams of making music, lighting up and shocking.

In 2001 Mikhail left the program and became the art director of a famous club in Voronezh. He copes with his duties superbly, and when he informs the owner of the establishment that he is leaving, he immediately offers to double Grebenshchikov's salary, but the future popular artist could no longer be stopped, since Mikhail was invited to the "Star Factory".

The producer of the project, Igor Matvienko, was not at all embarrassed that this extravagant guy did not have strong vocal abilities. He was hooked by the way Michael could present himself. Each of his songs while participating in a TV show was a whole action, a performance, after watching which no one remained indifferent. The viewer was so fond of Grebenshchikov that he was able to take third place in the project. His most popular songs, such as "Dancing-hugs" and "Bunks", performed on that television project, brought the musician fame and love of the viewer.

After the end of the show, along with other participants, Mikhail went on a tour, which took more than one year in time. In it, he not only performed his songs, but worked as a stage director. In total, having visited more than 300 cities and having completed more than 500 concerts, the participants returned to Moscow, where everyone began to work independently. 

After the tour, Grebenshchikov decided not to stop there, but began to work hard again. He actively wrote new musical compositions on which he shot bright and creative videos, like himself, took part in various television programs, and was engaged in production activities.

Since 2004, Mikhail Grebenshchikov could often be seen on various channels. He worked as a VJ for MTV, hosted various TV programs and concerts, and worked on radio. He participated in the 5th season of the project "The Last Hero", and also very often appeared as a guest or an expert in popular shows such as "Style Guide", "Big Laundry", "Army Shop" and others.

The last 5-7 years, the musician was practically inaudible. His photos did not appear in magazines and tabloids, but this does not mean at all that Grebenshchikov is not doing what he loves. He currently works at the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, and is also involved in production activities at the school for creative development for children, created by Alla Pugacheva.

In 2013, together with Irina Ortman, he recorded the romantic composition “Maybe there was something”, the words and music for which he wrote himself. Mikhail periodically plays his DJ sets in popular Moscow nightclubs. He writes songs and also produces several projects on television.

Everyone who watched one of the first clips of Grebenshchikov "Bulki" could not help but notice the spectacular twins Katya and Dasha, who were annealed with him. Catherine at that time had already been in a civil marriage with the musician for several years. Mikhail never liked to talk about his family life, but it is known that he never dared to legitimize their relationship.  

Grebenshchikov said that he did not have enough time for this, since his favorite work always came first, and his wife did not require marriage registration. The popularity that came destroyed their relationship after 7 years of marriage, Mikhail and Catherine broke up, they had no children.

Several years ago, the musician's family was replenished with two daughters. The singer tried not to tell anything about their mother, who was not a public girl. It is known that her name is Julia, and her profession has nothing to do with show business. According to Mikhail, he is very glad that his children are female, as he always loved to communicate with the beautiful half of humanity.

In 2016, Grebenshchikov terminated relations with his wife, but at the same time maintained warm friendly relations with her. Currently, his personal life is flowing measuredly and calmly, he is ready for a new relationship.

In 2016, the singer took part in the project "10 Years Younger", which, in his opinion, was supposed to turn his life around. Grebenshchikov decided on a number of plastic surgeries, as he believed that he was very old. Grebenshchikov wanted surgery to bring him back ten years ago.

Mikhail underwent blepharoplasty, reshaped his nose and raised his eyebrows, and cosmetologists carefully worked on skin imperfections. He bravely endured all the trials and, indeed, miraculously transformed. Now he is barely 35 years old. Mikhail Grebenshchikov before and after plastic surgery are two completely different people.

In early 2017, together with other manufacturers, he took part in the "Tonight" program, timed to coincide with the 15th anniversary of the "Star Factory" project. He was the first manufacturer to be invited to the studio by the presenter Andrei Malakhov. Grebenshchikov told about his plans, creative ideas and his real life.

On March 10, 2017, Grebenshchikov's age exceeded 40, but the transformed Mikhail is not discouraged at all, he is ready for new achievements, never sits still, dreams of falling in love and building a strong family again.
