Hello! My mother hasn't worked in a long time. My father supports us. She always buys some vitamins because she was depressed. But this depression, in my opinion, is due to a lack of purpose, of activity. She has no hobbies. He tries something for a day and gives up. He thinks what's the point of doing it, he doesn't find one and stops. He sees no point in doing anything. Of course, she did not leave us to the whims of fate, cooking, etc. But her free time is generally wasted on computer games and crime series. I don't know how to advise her to get out of this state. Because vitamins obviously can't convey the meaning of her life. I wonder what she can do.

Depression is not treated with vitamins and is not something you can help with. She needs a doctor to prescribe her medication. She's not a nihilist, she's sick. If she had broken her leg, you wouldn't accuse her of ticking the computer all day and having no motivation to do anything.
