Tell me what parameters it is and we will tell you what to do. Updates are about security in nature. If you don't do financial transactions with 3 billion and don't keep the file with KGB stewards, sleep easy. I personally changed my microsoft antivirus with Zone Alaram Antivirus firewall and at least the antivirus will be updated with updated definitions.

Up to 3 Not everyone does financial transactions for 3 billion, but almost everyone pays something online. So security is important.

I'm currently on Windows XP and generally have no problems. But I don't keep anything valuable on the computer. For me, this is the best Windows ever made. Although he is already 20 years old, I had heard that he would be returned for maintenance. And why wasn't it advisable to install Windows 10?

A computer running Windows 7 also runs Windows 10. You can upgrade to GNU / Linux, most of the things you need (unless you work with special software for architects, various medical devices, etc.), see distrowatch.com. The good thing about GNU / Linux is that there is a whole range of different versions of literally everything and most things are free and not pirated software. If Windows 7 runs on one computer, Linux Mint Cinnamon will run smoothly for these features. Linux Mint is suitable for beginners. GNU / Linux distributions with XFCE, LXDE, MATE desktops do not waste resources.

"and now where" she shouts ... you have a computer at the age of 13, tighten it! I don't know what your social situation is, but I strongly advise you to get something new and cheap, push him a 10 and you're in the game. In reality, whatever you take will be many times more powerful than what you have now. If you do not have the opportunity to buy a new one, jitkai this one to where it worked. If you still use it, after 13 years, it is obvious that you surf the net, download pirated movies and watch tubes and porn! Ie I don't see why you care so much about the safety of your machine ?! You put an AVAST or whatever you want, if you don't have an antivirus and that's it. :)

By 8 Sooner or later the author will have to buy a new computer. At university, when I was studying, we had such old computers and they barely worked. They were useless. There was no point in them and we carried our laptops.

Here's a woman's opinion: Well, number 8, although a little rough, is right. However, you all give without (feeling like) a problem, even with enthusiasm, at least 300-500 levs for smartphones, and many of you even more. Otherwise, you like to get a new laptop, and you drive with some crates every 10-15 years ... 'Don't judge me, I'm not very good with operating systems' - don't you think that everyone which computers we maintain ourselves are we some kind of IT? Well, no, we JUST MADE OUR WORK to dig a little through google. Recently, in a topic about cooking in the family section, a girl shared that she doesn't like to cook and the old ladies literally boned her ... We are already in the 21st century, no matter how much some people don't like you.

Bullshit. It stops supporting only updates. Otherwise, you can use the computer itself for many years to come. I have XP and skype i flash and Microsoft office is running smoothly. But it's a really good idea to review the settings now so they can't update themselves. You prohibit any updates to the programs. The new versions just want to make you spend money. And Windows 10 is the most disgusting of all Windows and I do not recommend it to anyone.

I'm 12 and I want to add one more thing - a laptop consumes much less electricity than a desktop computer.

Off number 12, I said that so far we have been quite happy with the computer. Why should we buy a new one? It has always worked perfectly, we have maintained it, we have not had any complaints about the "crate" for 12 years. The topic is not that I am not given money for a new computer. I will give, why not give? We also have two relatively new laptops at home, but that's not the question, but what will happen especially with THIS computer after January 14. So don't pretend to be very witty, I know exactly what age we are in and it suits me. Also, we are not all experts, I have basic knowledge in this area, of course, I do not eat tomatoes with stakes. But I can't know everything. Naturally, I tried to research the question of the end of Windows support and what's next, but I couldn't find the right answer. There are enough competent people here with different experiences, why not ask? As you are so aware, dear, why didn't you answer my question and give me some inappropriate example? Sincerely, Author
