Biography
The American physicist of Japanese origin Michio Kaku became famous as a futurist who seeks to predict the most important life processes and phenomena from the point of view of modern scientific research. Kaku, an admirer of Einstein's theory, seeks to complete the idol's scientific work - to prove his latest theory and create a formula that unites all the laws of the universe.
fact
Childhood and youth
Michio Kaku was born on January 24, 1947 in San Jose, California. The father is the son of a Japanese émigré who arrived in San Francisco to help eliminate the destruction caused by the 1906 earthquake, and remained in a foreign country. In his youth, Michio's father studied in Japan, and during the war he ended up in the Tul Lake evacuation camp in California, where the man met his future wife. The young family lived in poverty, but the parents tried to give their two sons everything they needed.
The youngest son Michio grew up calm and assiduous. He learned to read early and could sit for hours at his favorite books, and then movies. He especially loved science fiction. His imagination was stirred up by time travel and parallel worlds. When the age came, the boy went to Kibberly High School and, already as a student, began to show miracles of early development. The Japanese studied well, was the captain of the school chess team.
Subsequently, the young child prodigy became keenly interested in Einstein's theory of probability. He began to study both the personality of the outstanding scientist and the themes of his works. Parents took their son to scientific libraries, and at home they equipped a separate room where he conducted numerous experiments in physics and natural science.

As a result, the student invented the Wilson chamber, a device that records traces of charged particles, and the betatron, a machine for producing antiparticles with a power of 2.3 MeV. This know-how Michio presented at the national science fair in Albuquerque, which attracted the attention of the outstanding physicist Edward Teller.
The scientist lobbied for a Hertz Foundation scholarship for a young protégé, as well as his admission to Harvard at the Faculty of Physics. After graduating with a bachelor's degree, Kaku entered the University of California at Berkeley and received his Ph.D. in 1972.
fact
Science and books
In 1973, the young scientist began teaching students at Princeton, although just yesterday he was just a young student. And soon Michio was drafted into the army. The time was turbulent - there was a war in Vietnam. But the Japanese did not get to the Asian front, he served in Georgia and Washington, after which he returned to his research in science.
In 1974, the first major work on string field theory appeared in the scientific biography of Kaku. This work became, to some extent, a continuation of Einstein's search: in the last years of his life, the creator of the theory of relativity struggled to prove the global interconnection of everything and everything in the Universe.
In the 80s, City College in New York became the main place of work of the physicist. Kaku became a teacher at this educational institution and still works there. Since the late 90s, the American has been acting as a scientist-writer, and his books have become bestsellers for the timeliness of topics and the accessibility of the style.

Kaku's bibliography contains nine popular science books, two of which - "Visions" and "Hyperspace" - have become super popular and have been translated into several languages. Soon, the scientist begins to act as a futurist. Kaku puts forward his own theories about the future of humanity. On the basis of his own hypotheses, he writes the books "Physics of the Future", "Physics of the Impossible", "The Future of Mind" and "The Future of Humanity".
According to Michio Kaku, only 2-3 decades separates humanity from life, in which people can easily create their digital counterparts, that is, cyborgs. Information can be read directly from the human brain and placed in the memory of another individual.
In order to popularize science and especially his beloved futurology and astrophysics, the scientist also creates a series of documentaries that were shown on the Discovery Channel. Kaku has published over 70 articles in popular world magazines, launched a number of scientific projects on CNN, ABC News, Al Jazira, Fox.
Also, Mr. Kaku is a frequent guest on the TV show. He has participated and given interviews on the popular programs Good Morning America, Screen Servers, Larry King Alive, and hosted two radio programs, Science Fiction and Scientific Research with Dr. Michio Kaku.
The Japanese consider the continuation of the exploration of the idol Albert Einstein to be his life's work. In 2016, Dr. Michio writes a popular science book "Einstein's Cosmos", in which he talks about how the discoveries of the genius scientist changed the world, as well as the consciousness of people. In this work, the author also reflects on God and presents Einstein's point of view on religion.
fact
Personal life
Despite his passion for science, Michio Kaku did not put a taboo on his personal life. The scientist is happily married.
Ethnic Japanese woman Shizue Kaku became his wife. The woman gave birth to her husband two daughters. Now the spouses with children live in New York.
fact
Michio Kaku now
Recently, the scientist is increasingly interested in the topic of neurobiology. Kaku talks about the incredible resources of the human brain in The Future of the Mind.
Dr. Kaku is Chair of the Henry Semata Chair and Professor of Theoretical Physics at City College of New York. The scientist has a busy schedule: he travels around the planet with lectures and presentations on futurology, which is now becoming in demand and popular.
In 2019, Michio Kaku visited Moscow and spoke at the III Forum of Social Innovation of the Regions. Photos from this event have spread around social networks, while the scientist himself is not subject to the Internet trends of our time and does not start Instagram.
