Biography
Michael B. Jordan began his acting career at the age of 12, appearing in an episode of the television series Cosby and The Sopranos in 1999. But it was not until 2002 that he landed the role that changed his career, that of Wallace, a young dealer in the first season of the multi-awarded and critically acclaimed series: Sur Ecoute (The Wire). Between 2003 and 2006, the actor found himself in the soap-opera La Force du Destin as the series approached its cancellation after forty years of good and loyal service. Between 2006 and 2009, he made a series of appearances in a few detective series for one episode. These include The Experts, FBI - Missing, Cold Case - Closed cases or Bones.
In 2009, the actor joined the cast of a new series, The Assistants, for 9 episodes, but it was his arrival on the Friday Night Lights show event in season 4 that made the actor return to the front of the scene. He keeps his role of Vince Howard until the end of season 5, when the series concludes. In 2011, he joined Parenthood for a recurring role in his second season. After seeing him on television, the general public found him in 2012 alongside the also very popular Dane Dehaan in the phenomenon Chronicle by Josh Trank. He plays one of the main characters in this found footage film that shows three teenagers who find themselves with superhero powers after being exposed to a strange rock.
Michael then continues the projects on the big screen: while rumors seeing him in many blockbusters announced are all the rage on the net, he is the headliner in 2013 of Fruitvale Station directed by Ryan Coogler, the true story of a young man shot in the back by a policeman in a San Francisco subway station and whose images have been around the web. The feature film is widely recognized for having won Grands Prix at the prestigious Cannes, Sundance and Deauville festivals. Following this film, the actor becomes Johnny Storm alias La Torche in the new part of the Fantastic 4 by Josh Trank alongside Miles Teller and Kate Mara. In addition to this muscular role, Michael B. Jordan shows a certain diversity in the choice of his films.
