Biography
The only son of a doctor and a screenwriter and writer, Max Boublil gave up studying after narrowly failing the bac. He began his career as an actor at the very end of the 1990s, first playing small roles on television: both in commercials (Crunch, Yop), television series (Navarro, Sous le soleil) or television films ( The Winter Swallows, Captain Lawrence). In 1998, he participated in a short film on involuntary compulsive disorders (Les Tiqueurs), in a role that he took over in 2004 in its long version TIC (Trouble involontaire convulsif).
Confined, at best, to secondary roles (Les Amateurs), the young man tried his hand at stand-up, and it was in 2007, with the posting of his humorous song Tonight ..., that he became known to a wider audience and met with success. While his career as a comedian is in full swing through many hilarious one-man-shows, Jean-Jacques Zilbermann invites him to take part in his feature film La Folle histoire d'amour by Simon Eskenazy (2009). In this comedy, Max Boublil gives the reply to Antoine de Caunes.
After a lightning appearance in La Vérité si je mens! 3 (2012), his career as an actor for the cinema takes height since in 2013 alone, he joined the cast of Danièle Thompson's choral film, Des gens qui s'embrassent, is sharing the poster of the comedy Les Gamins with Alain Chabat, and plays Max, the very "boublilien" hero of Max the millionaire.
