Powerlifter from Poland Mariusz Pudzianowski, who became famous as Dominator, or Pudzian, is known in power sports primarily due to getting into the Guinness Book of Records. He managed to enter his name there after five victories in the competition "The strongest man on the planet." Mariusz was born in the Polish city of Biala-Rawska in the winter of 1977. The boy was interested in sports since childhood, since his father was a professional athlete. At first he was attracted by karate, and after a couple of years the athlete's son turned his attention to powerlifting. At the age of 15, at the same time, the young man began to master boxing, which was present in his biography for the next 7 years.

At 16, Pudzyanovsky took part in the professional barbell press competition for the first time, he managed to lift a weight of 160 kg. He continued to work hard and after another 2 years he increased this result by 45 kg.

Mariusz prefers not to talk about his personal life. According to some reports, he has a wife and a child, but the man does not publish a photo with his family on Instagram. But there are many pictures from his performances in the ring and from training.

For the first time, Mariusz was lucky to take part in the Strongman weightlifting competition when he was 22 years old. As part of the World Cup, he fought for the title of the strongest man on the planet. However, later, for almost 2 years, he had to take a forced break in his career. In 2000, the guy went to prison and spent 1 year and 7 months in prison. He was accused of assault and robbery. In his defense, Pudzyanovsky said that he did not plan to harm anyone, but only tried to stop the boss of the local mafia, who was beating another guy.

After serving his sentence, Pudzyanovsky returned home and continued training. The first victory in the list of his achievements appeared in 2002, when Mariusz became the strongman world champion for the first time. He repeated this success 4 more times, twice took second place and once third. Also, the man competed in the European Championships, where he also won a gold medal more than once.

Although Mariusz prepared diligently for every weightlifting competition, he made a career in more than just this sport. Four times the man became the champion of Poland as a weightlifter, owns karate and has the 4th category in this sport, and also plays professionally in rugby, plays for the Budovliany Lodz team. With a height of 186 cm, his weight is 132 kg, but this does not prevent the man from quickly moving around the field, but, on the contrary, makes him a strong rival.

Despite the great variety in life, in 2009 Mariusz decided to try his hand at MMA. Keeping in mind the lack of experience, the best Polish KSW promotion was not afraid to sign a contract with a man, his popularity in the sports world and numerous achievements contributed to this. Already in December of the same year, he first entered the octagon against compatriot Marcin Nyman and defeated him by technical knockout.

The first defeat awaited him in a battle with the American Tim Sylvia, to whom the Pole surrendered. Then he defeated Eric Ash, lost to James Thompson, and in the next meeting with him, which took place six months later, he won the fight. This result was rendered by a controversial judicial decision. He did not suit Thompson, and the fighter began to speak impartially about the promotion. Then his leadership decided to declare the battle invalid. But the next meeting with Bob Sapp brought victory to the Pole.

In 2017, information appeared in the press about the organization of the battle between Pudzyanovsky and Fedor Emelianenko, but she did not receive official confirmation. Although many were waiting for this meeting, it never took place, but fans of mixed martial arts do not give up hope of someday seeing these two fighters in the same ring.

Mariusz still performs in mixed martial arts, which are often incorrectly called ultimate fighting. In the spring of 2019, he met in the ring with his compatriot Shimon Kolekia. Their fight was stopped by a doctor at the end of the 1st round, since the opponent inflicted numerous blows on Mariusz, after which, according to the expert, he could no longer defend himself.

In November of the same year, he had another meeting, this time with the representative of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Erko Jun.
