Biography
Marie Avgeropoulos is spotted by the entertainment industry with her favorite hobby, the drums. During a casting, the musician immediately catches the attention of the director, Chris Columbus (Mrs. Doubtfire and Mom I missed the plane) who is looking for a drummer for her next film, I Love You Beth Cooper.
A year later, the young Canadian appears in a feature film by the same filmmaker, Percy Jackson: The Thief of Lightning. In the skin of one of Aphrodite's daughters, she seduces the general public who then find her in Hunt to Kill. Here she camps the rebellious daughter of an elite soldier, kidnapped by dangerous fugitives. The same year, she goes on filming between the small, in Human Target and Eureka, and the big screen, notably in 50/50 with Joseph Gordon-Levitt.
The dramatic Lycée de la Honte, meanwhile, offers Marie Avgeropoulos real visibility. Headlining, she plays a teenage girl involved in call girl trafficking. A key role for his career, which allows him to afford a recurring character in the CW's detective fiction, Cult. Despite its good performance, the series was canceled after a short season.
