After graduating from the eighth grade, Margarita Sukhankina enters the music and pedagogical school, after which she submits documents to the conservatory, but does not pass the competition. In the second year, the girl will face a similar failure. Then - again a refusal, both at the conservatory and at the faculty of musical comedy at GITIS.

In the end, the stubborn girl manages to become a student at the Gnesins State Pedagogical Institute, which Rita soon leaves. The fact is that there the teacher decided to retrain Sukhankina for a different voice - soprano, while Margarita has an innate mezzo-soprano, that is, the tone is somewhat lower.

The next year, the already completely self-confident applicant finally conquered the examination committee of the Conservatory. After receiving the diploma, the period in the creative biography of Sukhankina begins, associated with classical music. A young opera singer performs at the Moscow Bolshoi Theater.

For 10 years of service, Sukhankina performed almost the entire classical repertoire of the theater, but at the beginning of the 21st century she leaves the troupe.
