The Canadian English-speaking writer Margaret Atwood is known to Russian readers for her books The Edible Woman, The Handmaid's Tale, Oryx and the Crake, The Blind Killer, etc. She is also a literary critic and poet.
Margaret was born in the fall of 1939 in the Canadian capital, Ottawa. The girl's father worked in the research field, studied forest entomology, in this regard, the family often moved and stayed for some time in northern Quebec, between Ottawa, Sault Ste.
