As a result, the enemy suffered a concussion and a severely swollen eye, for which Magomed was threatened with being registered with the police.

The parents summoned their uncle for help, who, although he praised his warlike nephew, took him away from sin with him - first to the small village of Geli.

Here, local teenagers had to prove their belonging to the Dagestan nationalities (the fighter himself is half Avar, half Kumyk) with their fists and, in spite of the non-native dialect and blonde hair and eyes, in the literal sense of the word, fight off the annoying label of the Russian Magician. Therefore, Ismailov did not get out of the fights. After 2 years, the family moved to Makhachkala.

A memorable battle for him was a street meeting with Gamzat Saypudinov, who later also became famous in sports. Magomed emerged from the fight as a loser and was afraid to go home with bruises and abrasions. However, the mother smoothed the situation by treating her Arnoldik (the child was given a nickname by the name of Schwarzenegger) with tea from the festive service and a scarce Snickers. Subsequently, the guys became friends and did not hold any grudge against each other.

At the new place, the boy, on the recommendation of Hasan's father, took up freestyle wrestling.

Despite the fact that the discipline was given very successfully and the bronze of the republican championship, awards of the championships of Moscow and other tournaments were won, it was not possible to get to the cherished Olympics. Once before the next tournament, he caught a cold on his back, but the mentor still did not remove him from the competition. As a result - an unsatisfactory result and a firm decision to move to the capital of Russia.

Next - the army, where he had to go, like Rasul Mirzaev, having given a bribe. During the service, the soldier mastered hand-to-hand combat and set himself the goal of becoming a champion in combat sambo. And so it happened - after demobilization, Magomed was lucky to train under the guidance of an experienced teacher Vladimir Osiya, conquer Russian and world championships and earn the honorary title of Master of Sports of the Russian Federation.

Before his debut in mixed martial arts MMA in 2011, Ismailov had to spend the night in the car for some time, earn a living as a private driver, live in a friend's apartment and receive help from his mother.

The first fight was difficult morally - the opponent was listed in near-football fights. However, the Dagestani defeated him already at the 48th second.

In M-1 Global, he lost only once - to the Russian Anatoly Tokov.
