I have a relative who lives in Istanbul. He complains that public schools have a strong religious orientation and pays for private schools, and that since the pound has fallen, they cannot afford to travel to Europe. I would add that there is the most horrible traffic I have ever seen. As if they have a rule "the more arrogant has the advantage". For a walk, shopping and eating delicious food is great. I like Madrid a lot more, there is no such crowd, it is a European city. I just remember that they had some strange law and I could only drive on even dates because the car number was even, but this may have only applied to Christmas holidays when the city is filled with people from the countryside. We haven't been to Paris yet.

Istanbul is a crowded and ruined city, the same is true for Paris, only twice, only Madrid is one of those listed.
