The star of the Kazakhstani stage Madina Sadvakasova from childhood was convinced that her destiny was a singer's career. Once the conversation ended in a quarrel, and Madina did not sing for several days. And when the girl's mother accidentally met her neighbor, she asked when they would finally hear Madina again. At the age of 12, the girl performed for the first time in a music competition. It was called "Onshi balapan" ("Yellow Chicken"). Then there was a regional competition "Morning Star".

In an interview with the My History program on Channel 7 of Kazakhstani television, Sadvakasova admitted that she had participated in it for three years in a row, and each time the jury did not let her go beyond the qualifying stage. There was no resentment or anger - the failures crystallized the desire not to retreat.

This attitude helped Sadvakasova at the age of 17 to win the regional stage of the Musical Voyage competition and become a diploma winner in the republican final. But the main victories were ahead.

The girl's idol was the actress and singer Roza Rymbaeva. And you can hardly imagine a better proof of the correctness of the chosen path than meeting with a person who serves as an example for you. And Sadvakasova not only saw Rymbaeva, but sang a duet with her. This was one of the prizes of the youth competition "Zhas Kanat", which Madina won in 1999.

A little later, Sadvakasova won first place at the Asia Dauysy (Voice of Asia) festival in Almaty. For Madina's achievements, the leadership of her native Kyzylorda region awarded the girl the title "Person of the Year".

The vocalist's victories were noticed not only in the region. As soon as Sadvakasova graduated from the Kyzylorda College of Music, having received a red diploma in the specialty "Choral conducting", she was invited to sing in the Presidential Ensemble "Gulder".
