Look At Me!

The Story

Part One Brenda woke up to the awful sound of her alarm clock. The time was 6.30, Monday. It would be the first day of her new school. She couldn't do it at all. He had no desire to go to a new class or leave the house at all. -Brenda, get up! - her mother shouted from downstairs - I have to take you and be at work by 7.30, you don't want us both to be late the first day, do you She rubbed her eyes angrily. The sun's rays irritated her eyes because the window was right next to her bed. "What a disgust! I hate sunlight so early in the morning," Brenda thought, rising angrily from the bed. He went to freshen up in the bathroom. After brushing his teeth, he looked at his face in the mirror. She was as pale and weak as a ghost. He was disgusted with himself and still didn't eat. Her brown hair was so disheveled from sleeping, but Brenda loved her even like that. In fact, it was the only thing she loved so much about herself, because her father liked her too ... before she left. She always said she had princess-like hair, even though she didn't like princesses herself. A month after his horrible and ridiculous death, Brenda made blue and purple locks, but did not change her hairstyle at all. Of course, her mother didn't approve of that at all, but she did it anyway. What was interesting about Brenda was that one of her eyes was sky blue like her mother's, and the other was emerald green, like her father's. Yes, her late father and the reason for moving them. Brenda looked into her sad eyes as if searching for something. For a moment he remembered the incident in their old house again and narrowed his eyes. He touched the silver heart imperceptibly, which was always on her neck. It was a gift from her dear father for her 13th birthday. She always wore it, even if it made her sad. for a moment he remembered his father and almost cried. When she closed her eyes, she always saw him. -Brenda, more alive! Breakfast is on the table! Her mother's cries made her come to her senses. She looked again and frowned at her reflection. He danced to enjoy the earrings on his tongue and laughed pretentiously. Then he came out of the bathroom. "Hey, I'm coming, Mom!" she shouted and went to her room. She combed her hair quickly, put on her black leggings and short jeans, put on her black bustier and a cut-out skull T-shirt, and then took out her make-up kit. He outlined his glassy eyes with a black pencil, put on a colorless lip gloss, and then reached for the jewelry box. Take out your favorite earrings with skulls and a few silver rings. He put them on his repeatedly pierced ears, where there were many more, put all the rings on his patent leather fingers, and then jumped into his new sneakers. Then he quickly put two black wristbands on his hands and sprayed his favorite perfume, The Vampire's Kiss (scent of roses and lilies), and looked in the mirror. So he liked to walk from time immemorial and to be different from the landscape, he liked to be in dark and casual clothes, dark make-up, black nail polish, a lot of piercings on himself and loose hair with locks. Of course, her dear mother didn't like locks, earrings, navel or tongue, make-up or clothes, or her daughter listening to rock and metal or just watching and reading horrors, like some of Brenda's hobbies. But she knew hers like any 17-year-old girl. Brenda was definitely rebellious in every sense of the word, except for the ratings. She was a strong student, despite her rebellious appearance and the obvious protests she showed. The strange thing was that even her father's death didn't stop her from studying, it even helped her get distracted with books, movies, music, and other things she did in her spare time. After recovering quickly, she grabbed her phone and her textbook bag and went downstairs to the kitchen, where her mother was waiting for her, dressed in a beige suit and her blond hair tied in a bun. She wore Aunt Molly's pearl necklace around her neck and smelled of jasmine. “She’s probably going to flatter her colleagues again!” Brenda said nothing, just left her bag on the chair and went to the refrigerator. He pulled out a can of Coke and opened it. "I'm sorry, darling, but we only have cornflakes and peanut butter." I didn't have time to prepare anything. Brenda sipped her Coke and said indifferently, "I'm not hungry." "Brenda, you haven't eaten anything since last night!" You only drive on chips and chocolates. Do you ever eat normal real food? Mrs. Jordan asked anxiously. - It is not good for health, and look how weak you are! The girl was leaning against the refrigerator, humming a song by Bon Jovi, her father's favorite. I'm talking to you! Felicia continued, her mother's name. "Brenda Jordan, can you hear me?" The girl went to the table without looking at her mother. "You start with your annoying nonsense in the morning." Her mother looked at her and sighed. -When will you finally change your attitude? Also this .... scary vision? Felicia looked at her daughter disapprovingly and closed her eyes anxiously. -When Dad is resurrected! Brenda said sharply, sitting down in her chair. Then he sipped indifferently from the car. Her mother did not take the answer lightly. She set down her coffee cup, stirring, and walked over to Brenda, taking a deep breath. He looked at her pleadingly and pursed his lips. "Honey, I understand it's hard for you." I miss your father very much too ... but he will never come back ... We've talked about this a lot before, haven't we? her mother replied, her blue eyes watering slightly. "I know, and that's exactly why I don't think we'll find him here in Los Angeles." - The girl replied ironically- Besides, you know I never liked this city. she continued, sipping her drink once more. Felicia swallowed hard again. -Brenda, darling, we need a fresh start. Both you and me. Now we live elsewhere with other people, I work in a new place, a new profession, and you will study in another school with new classmates. You haven't seen anything from here yet, give the new city a chance! It stuck in the girl's brain like a drill. -Yes, just amazing! After what happened, I only miss the "new beginning" before half a year has passed, right? Why didn't he enroll me in a Catholic school in uniform? Then you would have finished me! Sometimes Brenda didn't think at all about what she was saying or how the things she was saying sounded. He often quarreled with his mother, in fact they never missed a chance to argue with her because they were quite different in character. That's why Brenda loved her father so much, because she looked like him in so many ways, they always understood each other and talked normally. They were really close and that was one of the reasons the girl suffered terribly because of his death. Felicia barely stopped her tears and turned to the other side. It was clear that Brenda didn't want to move to a new school at all, nor a new city, but her mother thought they should start somewhere. Somewhere away from the tension in New York, away from their annoying old neighbors, away from their old house, and away from the memory of the killer who took Brenda's father away. Her mother thought it would be good for both of them to break away from the old atmosphere, because the house and everything reminded her of her husband, but Brenda felt even worse that they had to build everything from scratch. Besides, she wasn't one to bury memories and things so easily, and she was so annoyed by her mother. She did not want to go to a new school with new people, she was an outsider and did not like new acquaintances with people and new places. There were only a few friends like her in New York. Among them was Claire Peterson, who had given her her favorite green-eyed snake ring. Brenda loved it very much and wore it constantly as a mascot, along with the medallion from her father. -------------------------------- ----------------------- Felicia nervously poured the coffee into the sink with trembling hands and secretly wiped her eyes, careful not to smudge her makeup. Then he looked at the digital clock. -Come on baby! We will leave! It's 6:50, your school is 7 blocks from here. Then I have to get to the office. Bredna set the box of cars on the table, grabbed her bag, and went to the hanger for her leather jacket. He and Felicia got out and got in the car. -The belt! Her mother reminded her. She quietly carried out the order and put the headphones in her ears. He turned up his favorite song by Avril Lavigne (Nobody`s home) and the car drove off. The girl loved Avril's songs, found everything in her cool, because he found her talented and cool, with super style. Her friends also shared her interests, but because of her mother, she only communicated with them on the Internet. She didn't want to go anywhere, her thoughts bothered her, but when she heard the music, she forgot about everything ... The same streets, the same people, the same picture began to change. Everything was indifferent to Brenda. Everything was the same for her. She tried to ignore the setting, immersed in the song, and remembered pleasant moments from New York. -------------------------------------------------- -------- There will be a sequel, but if I have time, then I will fast the other parts. :) the same picture.
