In the 90s, the native of Evertourneo joined the youth team Luleå, which until the late 1970s was called GroCo Hockey. When the coaches with the first team made their way to the Swedish elite series, it was decided to open a school for talented local and visiting children.

At the age of 18, Umark approached the height of 180 cm and, thanks to the loads, reached a weight of about 80 kg. The mentors from the youth club decided that the preparation process was over and it was time for the guy to join the adult players.

Umark, who has Swedish citizenship and the corresponding nationality, thanks to his charm and character, arranged his personal life without problems. He met a girl who shared the life and hobbies of an athlete, and a couple of months after they met, a romantic relationship began.

Linnaeus, who was a real beauty, judging by the rare photos on Instagram, fell in love with the bearded hockey player and soon became his wife. At first, the newlyweds did not think about home and children, but over time they became a full-fledged big family.

The younger generation has already attended a dozen of their father's matches and together with their mother visited countries where hockey is seriously respected. After Linus moved to Russia, Linnaeus followed her husband, because he could not imagine a future without his wife and kids.

The Swedish couple in love often spent their vacations on the coast, where the hockey player visited golf clubs and pubs with friends. In an interview, he said that the current existence, supported by sports successes, promises him hundreds of carefree joyful days in the future.

After his debut in the Luleå team, Umark was noticed by professional agents, and he decided to participate in the draft organized by the NHL. But fate brought him to Russia to join Dynamo Moscow, where he accomplished many great things at the age of 22.

In the first season, spent in the Kontinental Hockey League, the Swede received a good salary and earned a solid number of points. But the atmosphere in training, home and away matches did not suit the most talented of the newcomers acquired by the "blue-white".

In mid-2010, Linus moved to the Edmonton Oilers, but the hockey player failed to achieve impressive results in the West. He received an unpleasant injury, which resulted in prolonged treatment and waiting for everything in the body to return to normal and grow together.

Then came a period of inactivity, which Umark spent in Switzerland, getting a job as an extreme striker in the professional team "Zug". There he amazed the fans with his beautiful game and performance, and this helped to finally overcome the unpleasant illness.

In 2013, the Swede continued his career in the most prestigious hockey league, but the Buffalo Sabers of America unexpectedly decided to terminate the contract. The athlete, discouraged and upset, returned to his colleagues from Luleå and tried to accept the failure as a meaningless fait accompli.

The next season, the young man was looking for a suitable status team and eventually came to an agreement with Jokerit, who had recently joined the KHL. He scored 46 points in 60 matches of the regular international championship and tried to prove to the coaches that this is far from the limit.

The management appreciated the athlete's zeal, but refused further cooperation, and Umark moved to Salavat Yulaev, where his Swedish friends had already played. A bond with striker Andreas Engkvist and mutual understanding with goalkeeper Nicholas Svedberg regularly delighted mentors and caring people.

In the first season, the Swede and his teammates reached the final of the Eastern Conference, but formidable and more experienced rivals prevented him from winning the championship. "Salavat Yulaev" received bronze medals of the prestigious international championship, won the Nikolai Puchkov tournament and earned a number of valuable awards.
