As it turned out later, an artist from Belarus Leonid Vakulchuk, known to many as Leo, is now singing under this pseudonym. Now the guy has changed his stage name and repertoire, wishing, in his words, "to change the world with his music."

Leonid Vakulchuk was born on June 6, 1998 in Mogilev, Belarus. The father of the future musician worked as a football agent, managed the affairs of his brother, football player Vladimir Yurchenko. Mom was raising three sons. The artist is proud to belong to the Gypsy nationality, which is famous for its musicality. The singer's ancestors moved to Belarus from Zaporozhye.

Lenya from childhood showed artistic abilities - he wrote poetry, loved to sing. At the age of 5, he discovered the work of artists 50 Cent and Pimp C and fell in love with hip-hop. Perhaps the musician's career would have started in his native Belarus, if not for the unexpected disaster that came. On June 7, 2017, right after Leni's birthday, his father was arrested and imprisoned. It was a blow to the guy. But the music and the change of scenery saved me.

The young man turned another page of his biography and left for Krasnodar to see friends with one bag and $ 100 in his pocket. Here, under the southern sun, the guy started all over again. And exactly one year after his arrival in Krasnodar, the track "Panda E" was born, which in a matter of hours spread over the Internet, evoking enthusiastic emotions from the listeners.

However, new material must be submitted on a new name. This is how the pseudonym CYGO appeared from the words "gypsy" and "sugar" ("sweet gypsy"). According to the rules, the nickname reads like Saigo, but the singer does not mind the interpretation of Tsugo, which has gone to the people.

CYGO dedicated the hit "Panda E" to the theme of love at a distance, experienced firsthand. The chorus of the composition was written by Leonid's friend and concurrently his manager Georgy (Gio). Metaphorically speaking, the panda is an idyllic picture of falling in love, and the cheetah is the problems that come with parting.

The fact that the song broke all records in popularity is evidenced by the fact that photo and animation memes of the singer's work, parodies of clips immediately appeared on the Internet. There were even those who accused CYGO of plagiarism, allegedly the track is too similar to the song of the German artist Eno "Penthouse". However, it later turned out that the latter appeared on the Web a little later.

As the singer himself admits in an interview with the online edition "The Flow", with the money that "Panda E" brought him, you can buy an apartment in Krasnodar. But the artist is not going to rest on his laurels for a long time. Already in September his new song "Thaw Now" (another name "Big Ben") was released, and in his official public on "VKontakte" announcements of the next tracks have already been posted, which promise to be no less interesting than the debut composition.

The fans, and the performer already has a lot of them (CYGO fan accounts are open on VKontakte and Instagram), are waiting for the debut album of their favorite singer, and then the replenishment of his discography.

The young rapper describes his personal life, meetings, emotions, partings in one way or another in the tracks he composes. "Panda E", for example, reveals the singer's relationship with a girl he met back in Brest.

His departure to Krasnodar became suffering for both. The artist embodied these emotions in the song.

At the same time, Leonid admits that he still devotes his compositions to her and that "everything is complicated" between them.

After the success of "Panda E", dozens of offers from labels fell on the rapper from Belarus. But the guy is in no hurry to answer. According to him, "the label is just an assistant." The performer hopes for his own creativity and believes in his own strength.
