A graduate in sociocriminology, Laura Allen is a domestic violence advisor for the New York police before turning to the profession of actress. In 2000, she appeared in the pilot of The $ treet, then was chosen to play Laura Kirk English for 2 seasons of the soap All My Children . After a small role on the big screen in The Smile of Mona Lisa in 2003, she went through Cold Case: classified affairs and North Shore: Pacific hotel the following year, then landed in The 4400.
