A young man, passionate about music, wrote them while serving in the army. Together with a boarding school student Slava Ponomarev, Kuznetsov was going to create a group, but a vocalist was needed.

In the fall, Valentina Tazikenova was appointed head of the institution. Prior to that, an education worker ran an orphanage in the Akbulak village. A year before being transferred to Orenburg, she was included in the commission that decided the fate of 12-year-old Yura Shatunov. The boy's mother died, raising him alone, and for some time the child wandered. Tazikenova took him to Akbulak, and in 1986 to Orenburg.

At first, singing tearful songs was of much less interest to the teenager than sports. Shatunov spent his free time at hockey training or on the football field. The audience, feeling the need for new music, written not on a party assignment, but under the influence of feelings understandable to any person, disseminates the material itself. Kuznetsov's songs are copied from cassette to cassette, transferred from house to house.

The excitement is not in vain: in March 1987, Kuznetsov was fired. The formal reason is the performance by Shatunov at the festival in honor of Lenin's birthday a love song. Yura leaves the boarding school again after the incident. But in the fall, the administration of the institution resorts to the help of Kuznetsov to organize holidays and discos. During the holidays, the composer records a minus soundtrack, improving the sound of the songs, and a little later involves Shatunov to record material on the basis of the House of Creativity.

And already in September 1988, after six months of preparation, the team went on an all-Union tour.
