Biography
Larry Scott is a legendary short (170 cm) bodybuilder with huge biceps. The biography and achievements of the bodybuilder, who left the sport undefeated, inspired Arnold Schwarzenegger and other athletes to train.
fact
Childhood and youth
The bodybuilder was born in October 1938 in the US state of Idaho. The ancestors of the bodybuilder are immigrants from Scotland, as you can guess by the name of the athlete. Thea and Wayne Scott, in addition to Larry, gave birth to five more children. The athlete's parents were strong and tall, and the guy, even becoming a bodybuilding champion, could not beat his father in arm wrestling.

Neither height nor physique (the weight of a schoolboy at the age of 16 was 54 kg) Larry was not suitable for volleyball and American football, popular among his peers. Photos of Scott in his early youth confirm that the young man was short and thin. Even Larry's voice began to break later than his peers. To please the girls, the guy diligently did gymnastics and jumping on a trampoline.
fact
Personal life
In 1966, Scott married Rachel Ichikawa of Japanese descent, and the champion's personal life became more important than competition. In addition, Larry, like his parents, was a Mormon, and one day of fasting had to be compensated by three days of training.
Scott and his wife moved to the capital of Utah - the city of Salt Lake City, which after 35 years became the site of the Winter Olympics, and gave birth to a daughter, Susan, and sons, Eric, Nathan, Derek and Michael. The youngest children Larry and Rachel passed away in 1992 and 1993.
In his mature years, "Mr. Olympia" earned money by producing exercise equipment and bodybuilding aids. In 1999, Scott was inducted into the International Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness Hall of Fame.
fact
Body-building
One day, a young man got his hands on a magazine with bodybuilder George Payne on the cover. Larry got the idea to make the figure as muscular as that of a black athlete. Scott's first simulator was a heavy trolley axle.
Six months later, the school where Larry studied, held a competition "The student with the best physique." At the competition, Scott took 2nd place, and this convinced the young bodybuilder of the correct path.

The purposeful guy decided to move to California. In order not to go anywhere, resourceful Larry entered the California College of Aeronautics at the Faculty of Electronics. Scott managed to get through to bodybuilding guru Vince Gironde, who was pumped by the iron actor Clint Eastwood.
Larry studied with Vince for 10 years. Gironde was distinguished by a difficult disposition, but he called Scott the best student and shared secrets, in particular, high-protein diets useful for the figure. Specific nutrition and hard training allowed Larry to become the owner of the title "Mr. Olympia" twice.
