Russian punk-rock singer Blondinka KsU has gone from a backing vocalist of famous bands to solo performances at the largest Russian festivals "Wings", "Invasion" and "Punks in the City". Having become one of the few women in the alternative scene, the bright and outrageous performer has recorded a number of studio albums and played hundreds of concerts, attracting the audience with her extraordinary appearance and powerful voice.

Ksenia Valerievna Sidorina, familiar to fans of rock music under the pseudonym Blonde KsU, was born in Nizhny Novgorod (formerly the city of Gorky) on August 21, 1982. Parents-architects moved to the Tula region when the baby was 2 years old, and there the future singer took her first steps in her musical career, inspired by romances performed by her grandfather and listening to stories about her mother's youth rock group.

Surrounded by toys, among which the flute, accordion, harp and metallophone took pride of place, Ksenia dreamed of a real grand piano since childhood. But such an instrument could not fit in an ordinary apartment, and the relatives bought a piano and gave their daughter to be trained by talented Tula teachers.

KsU recalled her school years as a "forced acquaintance with music", and when the graduation concert was left behind, the girl took up vocals and in 1997 organized her own teenage group Alter agO. The repertoire of the group was dominated by compositions of the cult team Nirvana, but there were also her own songs, which Ksenia performed with a guitar. Loneliness, depression and unwillingness to live were the main themes of early work, a striking example of which was the youth hit "Abyss".

After practicing on the stages of Tula clubs, KsYu and his family returned to their homeland in Nizhny Novgorod. She decided to seriously pursue her own musical career and collaborated with the Na'Vi band for some time.

The first independent project in the adult biography of the performer was the rock band Lady-F, organized on the wreckage of Lady Fredy and caught in the eye of Elysium participant Igor Tarasov and producer Dmitry Kuznetsov. The girl was invited for backing vocals in a popular ska-punk group, and her individual work began to be promoted on the AiB Records label.

At first, the leader of Elysium demanded that the Blonde leave her own project, but after refusing to offer conditions that left the singer time for individual creativity. However, the load of a secondary singer forced Ksenia to sit in the studio and write parts for 3 projects at the same time.

In 2003, a double disc of the Hives and Elysium groups appeared, and after a while the work on the song Rain was completed, which was included in the collection called Rock Planet. In addition, the aspiring rock diva took part in the 2002 Nashestvie festival and did all the backing vocals for the Nizhny Novgorod disc “Cosmos”.

In parallel, KsU at the head of Lady-F recorded the compositions "Break", "Desire", "Guten Tag" and "Disco" and created a base for participation in the split-album "Elysium Family", presented in January 2004. After the release of the disc, Ksenia's songs began to be played on local radio stations and included in the Nizhny Novgorod ratings of top alternative hits.

The producers, who were interested in the work of the young collective, offered to re-record some of the tracks and, together with the novelties, included them in the second double disc, called "Labyrinth". And in 2004 they presented an individual album "On the Outskirts of the Universe".

With this, Ksenia exhausted the options for the development of creativity in her homeland and went to conquer the capital, starting with a search for like-minded people and participation in the Pomada team. Penetrating into the Moscow get-together, Sidorina finally changed into the image of an anti-Barbie doll and reincarnated as the Blonde KsU. Without serious hesitation, the girl left Elysium and devoted herself entirely to her solo career and equal cooperation with popular rock bands and singers.

Among others, Ksenia appeared in the composition and video clip of the group "NAIV" "Se-La-Vi" and met their drummer Dmitry Khakimov, nicknamed Snake. Later, the musician helped the singer with the female punk band Pomada, which performed cover versions of popular tunes, and took an active part in the creation of the Blondinka Ksyu group. The last project embodied musical ideas and visions that represented a new period in the creative work of the Nizhny Novgorod rock diva.

In the debut album "I am a blonde!" 2005 Sidorina collected early compositions of her own composition and songs published on collections in previous years. Torn between her hometown and the capital, KsU was completing lyrics and changing arrangements on the fly. As a result, after 2 months of studio work, rock fans heard the tracks "Instead of Life", "I'm Not There", "River" and others.

In support of the album, KsU went with concerts to the cities of Russia and attended the festivals "Wings", "Invasion" and "Punks in the City".

Continuing cooperation with Chacha Ivanov, the singer appeared on the tribute of the group "NAIV" and sang the song "I'm not kidding", and then took part in the recording of the composition "Rock and roll inflates our sails" together with famous Russian rockers from the groups "Different people" , "Bakhyt compote", "Mongol Shuudan" and others.

In 2006, the singer replenished her discography with the album "Time Destroys Everything" and again received invitations to the sites of the country's main music festivals.

Then Sidorina's group had to go through a change in composition. Starting with an opening act for the famous Canadian musicians from Billy Talent, the renewed band presented the disc "Barbie - Killers" to the public. In the composition "Freedom", KsU, through slogans, shared her own feelings about breaking up with her beloved and expressed her intention to continue living and writing music.

Subsequent works in the discography of the Blondes group were the minion "Live to the Bottom" in 2011, the full-length album "Baroque" of 2014, and the singles "Phantom Pains" and "Something Needs to Change" 2016-2017.

Since 2003, KsYu met with the drummer of the "NAIV" group Dmitry Sneik Khakimov. Young people lived in different cities, but thanks to regular tours, they found a way to often be together.

In 2004, the couple organized a joint musical project that strengthened their relationship and had a beneficial effect on their personal lives. As a result, the Blonde moved to Moscow to the chosen one and without interrupting her creative career she graduated from the institute with a degree in psychology.

However, the happiness did not last long, and in 2008 the lovers broke up. One of the reasons KsU considered creative disagreements and the inability to work in one musical project.

Since then, the leader of the popular band has gone into the shadows and tactfully avoided the topic of husband, children and love relationships in interviews. True, on the official KsU page on Instagram in February 2019, a joint photo flashed with the lead singer of the "SexboardS" group Dmitry Lebedev and a signature with congratulations to the closest and talented person.

Despite the fact that the last KsU album was released in 2014, the rock diva continues her creative career, performing at various events in concert halls in Russia.
