Konstantin Borovoy

Konstantin Borovoy is a Russian businessman and politician who is in opposition to President Vladimir Putin. He served as chairman of the Party of Economic Freedom and also ran the Western Choice Party. After leaving his native country, the politician organized a business in the West and lives there on a permanent basis.

Konstantin Natanovich was born in Moscow on June 30, 1948, in the early years of the post-war period. The boy's grandfather turned out to be a revolutionary who was subjected to Stalinist repressions, and after rehabilitation he was friends with Nikita Khrushchev and Leonid Brezhnev.

Konstantin is the youngest and later child in the family. Father Natan Efimovich had the post of professor of mathematics. He was enrolled in the Faculty of Computer Science of the Moscow Institute of Transport Engineers, Kostya successfully unlearned and defended his diploma.

In 1974, the young man graduated from the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics of Moscow State University, and in 1983 he defended his Ph.D. thesis. In the status of an associate professor and candidate of technical sciences, Borovoy worked in research institutes and was engaged in teaching activities in educational institutions.

Researchers, teachers and scientists were looking for additional ways to gain income, since they had not seen a salary for months. At the same time, the absence of a ban on entrepreneurial activity turned out to be happiness for those who knew how to think strategically.

Konstantin Borovoy had the necessary acumen and prudence. He left the research institute and organized the supply of important software for electronic computers, the prototype of modern computers, to enterprises. Having created a solid foundation for business, Borovoy took part in the development of various directions in the country. He made acquaintances with banking organizations, participated in the creation of TV channels, was interested in the activities of investment funds.

The former scientist spent his impressive income on charity. Borovoy sponsored the restoration of the Cathedral of Christ the Savior, supported the elderly in need, made investments in the development of the Modern Opera Theater. Continuing his business from 2000 to 2003, Borovoy published the magazine "America Illustrated" and he himself acted as chief editor. Konstantin maintained relations with representatives of the non-systemic opposition Irina Khakamada, Valeria Novodvorskaya and Bozhena Rynskaya.
