The family was engaged in farming, the boy from childhood had to participate in the harvest and graze sheep. When his son was 6 years old, his father took the children to Argentina, where he worked on sugarcane plantations. The future president sold ice cream and attended a local Hispanic school.

In his free time, Morales loved to play football, which helped to distract himself from everyday work. Already at the age of 13, he organized his own team, and then began to train local children. This formed the leadership qualities of the politician.

As a young man, Evo studied at the Agrarian Humanitarian Technical Institute in Orinoki, and then continued his education in Oruro. At the same time, the guy worked part-time as a baker and trumpeter of the orchestra. The future leader did not manage to get a diploma. Then he went to serve in the army, where he spent a year.

When the young man returned from the army, his family moved. In the new location, the Morales began to grow rice, citrus fruits, bananas and coca. Evo got along with the local population, continued to play football and joined the cocaleros union, for which he organized matches. The turning point in the biography of the political leader was the coup d'etat of 1980, after which one of the guy's acquaintances was beaten on charges of drug dealing.

In the following years, Evo became increasingly active in the union, protecting the coca crop from being burned by the US authorities. The actions of the future president led to his persecution and repeated arrests, from which they managed to free themselves thanks to the support of allies. To continue to fight the injustice of American leaders, the man joined the MAS (Movement for Socialism) party and went to Congress. Already in 2002, supporters of Evo conducted a successful election campaign, as a result of which they received 8 seats in the Senate and 27 in the Chamber of Deputies.

Morales' rating among the indigenous population continued to grow and peaked in 2006, when the man took 1st place in the presidential elections and took over Bolivia. After his appointment, Evo made diplomatic visits to Cuba, China and South Africa, but avoided travel to the United States.

During his reign, Morales nationalized the extraction of natural resources, the generation of electricity and mobile communications. Thanks to him, the economic power of Bolivia increased, the value of the currency on the international market increased and the state's financial reserves were replenished. The President directed his efforts to rehabilitate roads, equip football pitches, build trade union buildings and improve the countryside. Within 5 years, the poverty rate in the country dropped by almost 10%.

This led to the fact that the politician was elected for a second term. He continued to improve social programs, adjusted the payment of pensions and benefits to poor families. The president fought racism against the indigenous population, raised workers' wages and opened up trade with other countries. In 2014 he was re-elected again. Interesting fact: Morales was allowed to participate in the elections because he did not count his first term in office.
