Biography
Born to an advertising producer father and a writer mother for the famous Baltimore Sun newspaper , Josh Charles began stand-up at age 9. After his studies, he embarked on the cinema and began his career under the direction of big names: John Waters (Hairspray) and Peter Weir (The Circle of missing poets). The young actor continued with several films during the 1990s: the comedy-drama Crossing the Bridge (1992) or the romantic comedies Two boys, one girl, three possibilities (1994) and Little City (1997).
From 1998 to 2000, Josh Charles played a main role as a TV presenter in the Sports Night series with Peter Krause, the future star of Six Feet Under. After taking part in another romantic comedy, "Meeting Daddy", the actor plays a corrupt member of the elite SWAT unit group led by Colin Farrell in SWAT elite unit (2003). Then, he returned to romance with Seeing Other People (2004) and Son ex et moi (2006). Between the two, he plays a police inspector in the thriller Four Brothers (2005) worn by Mark Wahlberg.
He then moved again to the small screen, first by playing a recurring role in In Analysis and especially with the legal series The Good Wife from 2009 to 2014 where he slipped into the skin of a regular character, that of Will Gardner. That same year 2014, the actor surprised by sharing the poster for the French film as original as it is bewitching, Bird People, in the company of Anaïs Demoustier.
