Biography
This 29-year-old Irishwoman has been singing since a young age. After training in singing and comedy, notably at the Royal Irish Academy of Music and The Association of Irish Musical Societies, her acting skills were noticed and she was encouraged to try her luck at the Drama School in London. But his candidacy was refused by two drama schools.
Luck ended up smiling on her: in 2008, she auditioned for I'd Do Anything , a talent show broadcast on BBC One whose goal is to find young talent to play in a new version of the British musical piece Oliver ! inspired by Charles Dickens ' Oliver Twist . Buckley, in the running to play Nancy, the main female character, is the show's finalist. If she does not win, she is nevertheless offered to be the understudy but she declines to appear in another musical.
Finally graduated from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in 2013, she multiplies the plays and holds her first major role on television in the mini-series War and Peace alongside Lily James in 2016. The Taboo series follows with Tom Hardy and his first film, Jersey Affair. Released in 2018, this thriller allows him to illustrate himself in an ambivalent role. There she is a seemingly ingenuous young woman who falls in love with a mysterious man suspected of murder.
She met with success the following year with Chernobyl, the critically acclaimed HBO mini-series. There she is Lyudmilla Ignatenko, courageous wife of an irradiated firefighter. She then returned to her first passion, singing, in Wild Rose, where she tried her hand at the country register.
