Jeremy P. Felton was born on July 17, 1987 in Chicago, Illinois. Once on a student talent show, Felton sang a song by Ray Charles. He received dozens of compliments for his vocal abilities and has since decided to become a singer.

Jeremih prefers not to make his personal life public: if he has a girlfriend or wife, the tabloids do not delicately report this. Probably, while the rapper is enjoying freedom, having fleeting novels, or completely surrendered to only one muse - music.

Back in his student years, Jeremy Felton collaborated with producer Mick Schultz. With him and under the guidance of his cousin, Day26 band member Willie Taylor, Jeremih recorded the song My Ride. This experience helped put Felton in a good light with major record producers Russell Simmons of Def Jam and Karen Kwak of A&R in February 2009. Right after listening, Jeremih signed with Def Jam.

The trial single Birthday Sex was released in the same 2009. It peaked at No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100. On a successful wave, the rapper released his debut album Jeremih (2009), which peaked at No. 6 on the Billboard 200, selling 59,000 copies in its first week. Lil Wayne, Young Jeezy and Soulja Boy helped the young performer to promote the album.

Jeremih's music was to the taste of many, but not everyone. In August 2009, the management of the Chicago Public School invited the rapper to a dialogue with students who refused to receive knowledge and often skipped classes.

Many parents opposed the meeting, considering Jeremih's tracks unacceptable for schoolchildren, as they "promote teen sex." In turn, the school director noted that in the modern world, artists are given freedom of speech. In addition, Jeremih was an exemplary student, an excellent student. The release of the third studio album Late Nights: The Album (2015) was preceded by the EP Late Nights with Jeremih (2012). Famous rappers Lil Wayne, Flo Rida, J. Cole, Big Sean and others had a hand in their creation.

After the album was released in February 2016, Jeremih revealed in an interview with Billboard magazine that he is working on his 4th album, which will be titled Later That Night. For unknown reasons, this material has not yet been released.

Now the rapper is focused on creative collaborations. In October 2018, he completed his discography with the album MihTy with colleague Ty Dolla Sign. The track listing includes 11 songs.
