Jean-luc Bideau

From his childhood, the Genevan Jean-Luc Bideau discovered a passion for the dramatic art. With his baccalaureate in hand, he entered the Paris Conservatory. After having started his studies there, he made his debut at the National Popular Theater in a play by Bertolt Brecht directed by Jean Vilar, Arturo Ui .

It was in 1965 and in France that he made his first steps in cinema, under the direction of Gilles Grangier and Georges Lautner in Les Bons vivant. In the 1980s, he further varied his range of roles, and collaborated among others with Jean-Paul Rappeneau (Tout feu tout flame, 1982), Jean-Pierre Mocky (Is there a French in the room?, 1982 ; The Seasons of Pleasure, 1988) or Claude Chabrol (Inspector Lavardin, 1986). In the 90s, it is especially in the theater that the career of the actor is spread (he notably makes a passage to the French). At the same time, he can be found in the cinema in more serious roles, notably in Claude Sautet (Un coeur en hiver, 1991), Bertrand Tavernier (La Fille de d'Artagnan, 1994) and Raoul Ruiz (Fado major and minor, 1995). In 1996, after a return to comedy (he is directed by Gérard Oury in one of his last films, Fantome avec chauffeur), he finds Alain Tanner and takes part in his film Fourbi. He also plays in Marion (1997) by Manuel Poirier. From 1998 until 2002, he experienced a new period of popularity thanks to the television series H, in which he played a somewhat cracked surgeon, alongside Jamel Debbouze and Eric and Ramzy.

During this decade, in addition to his theatrical and television careers, he still exercises a regular cinematographic activity, and thus obtains many supporting roles: in 2001, he plays alongside Benoît Poelvoorde in The Doors of Glory by Christian Merret-Palmair . In 2003, he took part in the third part of Ripoux by Claude Zidi.
