Biography
Of Canadian origin, Jay Baruchel landed his first role at the age of twelve on television on Nickelodeon. After starring in the series: My Hometown, he starred in the CBS sitcom: The Stones and wrote, produced and directed his first short film: Edgar & Jane.
On the cinema side, the actor appeared in Cameron Crowe's Almost Famous in 2001 before joining the cast of Roger Avary's film for The Laws of Attraction and having the privilege of playing a young boxer in Million Dollar Baby. In 2007, the young man gave preference to comedies and played the role of Jay in the film Knocked up, instructions for use, before playing a dashing young actor in Tonnerre sous les Tropiques by Ben Stiller, whom he found a year later. late in The Night at the Museum 2.
2010 is an important year for the actor who obtains the first role of Trop belle! by Jim Field Smith before lending his voice to the character of Harold in Chris Sanders' Dragons and playing The Sorcerer's Apprentice in the eponymous film by Jon Turteltaub. After supporting roles in Cronenberg's Cosmopolis, the crazy comedy It's the end and RoboCop, the actor finds the character of Harold for Dragons 2.
