The talented Azerbaijani singer Jahid Huseynli, performing under the pseudonym JONY, at first tried to build a career in business, however, doing an unloved business, he felt unhappy. According to the artist, with his unusual name in the Russian capital it was hard, especially when Jahid went to school, his classmates could not remember his name for a long time. And then the boy took the pseudonym JONY, that was the name of the hero of his favorite cartoon "Johnny Bravo", as a joke at home his mother also called him that.

After spending the first years of his biography in his native country, Jahid did not know Russian at all. When it came time to go to school, the director set a condition for him: either the boy learns the language in 3 months, or he is not admitted to the educational institution. He accepted the challenge and fulfilled the agreement, while at the same time teaching his peers his native Azerbaijani.

JONY does not want to let the public know the details of his personal life. From what the musician himself told, it is known: he has a girlfriend, the guy does not disclose the name of the chosen one. But he regularly publishes new photos on Instagram, most of the presented pictures were taken during his performances, a lot of shots with friends.

JONY gravitated towards music from childhood, but his father had other plans for his son's future life. Having created a business, in the future he planned to pass it on to his children, and therefore insisted that the young man receive an appropriate education. So he entered the State University of Management with a degree in international business. True, he studied without enthusiasm, since his future profession did not arouse interest in him.

Meanwhile, the guy began to record covers of songs by popular artists and upload them to Instagram, periodically participated in music competitions and performed at events.

So a couple of years passed at the university, JONY graduated from the magistracy and got three jobs at the same time. He was on several temporary projects and worked for his father. Several times a week he performed in establishments. Over time, Jahid realized that music is his vocation. At 22, he asked his father to give him a chance to try his hand at what he loved, and if it didn't work out, he would return to business. Without a musical education, Huseynli began writing songs and music.

An important role in the growth of his popularity was played by Instagram, through which JONY introduced listeners to his work. There, the producer of the Raava music label came to him, who offered the aspiring artist to sign a contract. Now the musician is recording compositions in an undefined genre, which sounds more like pop music.

JONY calls 2019 a turning point in his career. The first song that gained immense popularity was "Empty Glass", then he recorded the equally successful track "Friendzone". And then he created the composition "Without you, I'm not me" together with HammAli & Navai.

The next single "Zvezda" glorified the artist even more, in it the singer reflected his life experience. Soon the song "Alley" appeared, which quickly took the first lines of the music charts. After a while, the artist shot a video for her. This was followed by the release of the first album in Jahid's discography "List of Your Thoughts".

The artist is still recording new tracks and delights fans with creativity. Unsurprisingly, his live performances are in high demand. From mid-spring to mid-summer 2019 alone, JONY gave concerts in 11 cities of Russia and Azerbaijan, including Moscow, St. Petersburg, Baku, Kaliningrad, Chelyabinsk and Kazan.
