But the feeling that captured both of them was impossible to contain. However, this novel was destined to end tragically: Lado was diagnosed with cancer, and two years later the man died.

This serious illness also affected Iya Borisovna herself: the woman had breast cancer. The actress took the diagnosis hard, closed herself in and was ready to give up. The family did not have money for treatment, but then a friend of Iya Borisovna, the actor Euclid Kurdzidis, came to the rescue, who organized a fundraiser for medicines. The eldest son of Iya Ninidze became a criminal investigation officer. The daughter married Kirill Pletnev, a famous actor, and gave the actress a grandson, who was named Alexander.
