Hello! I know that the best thing would be to ask the questions to a lawyer, which will probably happen, but at the moment I am extremely involved in other issues. So to the question - I have been divorced for several years and parental rights have been awarded to me. My ex-husband pays alimony in the amount of BGN 130. Whether or not it was enough to cover the child's needs is debatable. He is neither interested nor looking for it, lately he has stopped giving this money. And the child is very ill, we are doctors non-stop, he is already a student, he goes to various lessons. Now it turns out that he has a problem with his teeth, jaw and will need treatment. I remarried and we have a baby, it's true that my husband is more than a father to the big one, but I think the ex should take the role seriously. I was already having a legal consultation where I was told that he had to accept the summons in person, something that can't happen. He travels a lot abroad and I even suspect that he does not live in Bulgaria. Or if it's here it's in another town. I know that the maintenance cannot be more than a quarter of the salary on which they provide it. That is, I cannot get an increase because the drivers provide them at the minimum wage. Another issue is that it probably takes a few thousand. Oh, I feel awful that I'm almost touching him. Is there a way to prove his real income? Thanks! I feel terrible that I almost touch him. I'm not sure that after you have a second marriage, your ex-husband is obliged to pay maintenance, but this can be verified. Your ex-husband's real income can amount to thousands of leva per week, but this has nothing to do with alimony. The court rules the monthly amount in BGN that he must pay. The amount varies within the limits set by the law, say from BGN 100 to BGN 300 (for example), and not as a percentage of his monthly income. I don't see what you're going to sue him for, but try a lawyer.
