Hello, I am a 20-year-old woman and I want to learn to play the electric guitar. In fact, I want other instruments, but mainly a guitar. I have been interested in music since I was a child, I accept it as something more than entertainment or just spreading sounds. However, our people did not have the opportunity to buy me a guitar. But now I want to dedicate myself completely to music, I think there is some talent inside me, but alas, our people did not understand it. I wanted to ask you if it's too late and is it possible to learn on my own

It depends on what level you want to reach. I have learned to play acoustic guitar on my own, I can play and sing a lot of songs, as well as improvise lightly with various blues scales (as well as several folk scales, because I like how they sound). I have an idea of music theory, but for example I can't improvise on things with complex harmony like jazz, I can't play rhythm guitar (now I'm learning) various things like gypsy jazz, complicated classical things and others. That is, it depends on what level you will be ok to learn. In my opinion, if I had spent money for 10 hours with a teacher in the beginning, I would have progressed much faster, so I recommend that if you decide to play at an intermediate level, look for a teacher to introduce you to the basics.
