fact

Childhood and youth

Irina Muravyova is a native Muscovite, born in February 1949 in the capital. The artist is the second daughter of two loving parents, whose feelings were tested by the war. Father Vadim Muravyov volunteered for the front almost from school. He met victory and his love, sent as a reward for courage and heroism, in Berlin, to which he reached together with the Soviet troops.

The mother of the actress is a Belarusian, together with many compatriots did not come to Berlin of their own free will: the Germans sent a girl here to forced labor.

Irina Muravyova's parents returned from Germany as a couple, and in 1947 they became spouses. One after another, they had two daughters, of whom Irina Vadimovna is the youngest.

The girls were brought up in severity: their father maintained "military" discipline in the family. Irina had to always come on time, she was prohibited from dubious entertainments like dancing or walking with the boys. The mother closely watched her daughters, shielding them from excessive attention of the opposite sex. Nevertheless, parents in everything tried to help children and encourage their best aspirations. Mom was an excellent seamstress and sewed beautiful outfits for the girls, thanks to which the sisters looked perfect.

From school, Irina Muravyova brought only A's: the teachers loved the girl and from the first to the last grade set them up as an example to others. Otherwise, Ira could not study, because her parents reacted extremely disapprovingly even to the fours in the diary.

Irina not only roughly “gnawed the granite of science”. Muravyov, as a child, was fascinated by the world of theater. From an early age, the girl participated in a local amateur acting circle, performed at school plays and concerts. By the senior classes, Irina Muravyova has clearly decided on her future career.

Later, playing the main role in the film "Carnival", Muravyova will remember her teenage years more than once: the film was largely autobiographical.

After leaving school, Irina Muravyova showed unprecedented stubbornness: against the will of her parents, she decided to become an actress and came to audition at all theatrical universities in the capital. But Ira, like her heroine in "Carnival", was in for a bitter disappointment: not a single educational institution accepted a talented girl, and at the Shchukin school they even advised to forget about the career of an actress and find another profession.

However, Irina Muravyova showed an amazing sense of purpose: a year later, she again applied to the same institutions. The decision of the examination commissions did not change, and the girl was forced to study in a drama studio at the Central Children's Theater: there was less competition there. After graduating from the studio and gaining experience, Muravyova still entered the famous GITIS, but chose the correspondence department, because at that time she was already on the staff of the CDT.

Theater

The first role of Muravyova, played on the stage of the Central Children's Theater, was the appearance in the crowd of a fairy tale about the Goat. At first, Irina Muravyova played male characters, among which were Shura Tychinkin in the production of "Sombrero" and Fedya Druzhinin from the play "2001". The young artist served in the children's theater until 1977.

In 1977, the actress, already well-known at that time in the world of cinema, was invited to the prestigious Mossovet Theater. Muravyova's first performance in a new location was called Halfway to the Top, directed by the theater's leading director Pavel Chomsky.

At the same time, Irina Muravyova played a key role in “House on the Sand” based on the play by Rustam Ibragimbekov. For 12 years of service, the artist has appeared in eight performances. Since 1982, she has played in three productions, devoting almost all of her time to film work.

In 1994, Irina Muravyova left the Mossovet Theater, faced, according to the memoirs of Elena Valyushkina, with unbearable rudeness.

The Maly Theater, where Irina came at the invitation of Yuri Solomin, became the second home for the People's Artist of Russia at that time.

Her versatility allows her to play any role: from lyrical and naive heroines like Mamayeva in the play "Enough of Simplicity for Every Wise Man" to antipathy characters such as Matryona in the play "The Power of Darkness".

In March 2015, the premiere of the play "Eight Loving Women" took place, where Irina Muravyova appeared in the form of a wise experience, but a rather mischievous grandmother.

In the same year, the artist appeared in the lyrical, entreprise production "On the Strings of the Rain" by Akim Androsov, playing Bella. The genre of the performance is designated as "intriguing comedy". The premiere took place in August and received an incredibly warm reception from the audience and laudatory reviews from theater critics. Irina Muravyova played the main character, and together with her young and talented colleagues Anna Terekhova, Leonid Bichevin, Anna Ukolova and Yevgeny Kulakov took the stage.

Movies

Irina Muravyova, who has dreamed of playing on stage and in films since childhood, first appeared on the screens in 1965, agreeing to a small role in the crowd scene of the film “Children of Don Quixote”. This picture begins her cinematic biography. Notable roles in the filmography of the artist began to appear in the early 70s: in 1973, Muravyova made her debut simultaneously in two films: "A Letter from Youth" and "A Grain of Rice".

In the 70s, Irina Muravyova appeared in several famous films, among which the most beloved by the audience are "Ivan and Columbine", "Duenna" and "Purely English Murder". In the latest detective drama Samson Samsonov gathered the color of Soviet cinema - Alexei Batalov, Georgy Taratorkin and others.

Irina Vadimovna played many roles, but real all-Union fame fell upon her after participating in the legendary 2-part melodrama "Moscow Does Not Believe in Tears", which appeared on the screens at the end of 1979. The story about three girls from the provinces who came to conquer Moscow won an Oscar and won millions of fans.

No one expected such a success from the film, because initially Soviet critics were very skeptical about the tape, which was based on an unpretentious plot of the story of Cinderella, old as the world. The image of the punchy and devoid of sentimentality Lyudmila did not go unnoticed by the audience and directors: the talented actress was bombarded with offers to play the main characters in new film projects.

In 1981, Irina Muravyova received an offer to play the main character in the comedy "Carnival" by Tatyana Lioznova, in which she was to portray on the screen a graduate who had come to conquer the theater institutes in Moscow. The plot turned out to be surprisingly similar to the biography of Muravyova herself, and the artist happily agreed to the role. At that time, she was already 32 years old, and according to the script, she played a young 18-year-old girl Nina Solomatina.

Despite the difference in age, Irina Muravyova did an excellent job with the role - personal memories and experience helped a lot. The audience liked the talented game and the brilliant duet with Alexander Abdulov so much that the readers of the Soviet Screen magazine recognized Muravyova as the best actress of 1982 for this work.

In this melodrama, Irina Muravyova demonstrated that she is an artist in the broadest sense of the word. The actress dances beautifully. After the release of the film, the song "Call Me, Call" was a hit for a long time, it was heard from everywhere, although in the frame it is not the voice of the main character that sounds, but the singer Zhanna Rozhdestvenskaya. Irina was preparing to sing one more song - "Thank you, life", but, as the composer Maxim Dunaevsky said, the director did not need a recording of Muravyova singing.

For her work, the artist received several more prestigious awards, which strengthened her in the status of a star of Soviet cinema. In 1983, Irina Muravyova received the Order of the Badge of Honor for high achievements in the field of culture, and also became an Honored Artist of the RSFSR.

In the 80s, Irina Muravyova appeared in several more notable films, including the most popular "Hands up", "The most charming and attractive", "We, the undersigned" and "The Year of the Calf".

The comedy "The Most Charming and Attractive" has become a cult: 80 million viewers watched it in cinemas. In this film, the actress once again demonstrated her vocal talent.

The classical repertoire attracted Muravyova both in the theater and in the cinema. The actress played with Mikhail Kozakov, Lyudmila Tselikovskaya and Boris Plotnikov in the film adaptation of Anton Chekhov's works "An incredible bet, or a true incident that ended happily a hundred years ago."

70-80s - the golden period in the biography of the famous artist. At this time, Irina Muravyova managed to regularly appear in new films, broadcast the Sunday children's show "Alarm Clock" on radio and television, and sound cartoons.

The Melodiya firm has released a disc with the fairy tale "Old Man Hottabych", in which, in addition to Muravyova, Lyudmila Gurchenko, Alexander Barykin, Oleg Anofriev and Mikhail Boyarsky read the roles.

After the collapse of the Soviet Union, Irina Muravyova's career slowly began to decline: the actress appeared on the screens less and less often. Of the roles of this period, one should note the work in the melodrama "This woman in the window", where Irina finally managed to demonstrate her singing talent and perform the romance of the same name by Bulat Okudzhava.

The musical comedy "Marshmallow in Chocolate" was awarded the status of one of the first film projects in Ukraine as an independent state by a number of sites. In the film, Muravyova and Alexander Pankratov-Cherny played the parents of a girl with whom a black guy falls in love.

The heroine of the actress in the series "With New Happiness!" - a nurse abandoned by her husband. Such a sad event takes place on the eve of the New Year holidays. However, the New Year is not for nothing a time of miracles, and a woman finds a new admirer. In 2001, a sequel to the series was released, entitled “With New Happiness! 2. A kiss in the cold. "

In 2005-2006, Irina Muravyova took part in the filming of the popular comedy-drama television series Don't Be Born Beautiful. The film was an incredible success, thanks to which a new generation of viewers had a chance to meet a talented actress who played the role of the main character's mother played by Nelly Uvarova.

In 2010, Irina Muravyova, beloved by millions, appeared in the lyrical comedy "Chinese Grandmother", for her work in which the star of Soviet cinema was awarded the national Nika award as the best supporting actress.

After this tape, Irina Vadimovna no longer replenishes the filmography and rarely appears on television, devoting her life to her family and her beloved Maly Theater. Unless the photos of the actress published periodically on the Web indicate that Muravyova is still in the ranks.

In 2007, the star of the house was visited by the program "Housing Problem", but its release was scandalous. Irina Muravyova, together with her husband, entrusted the masters and designers with the repair of their favorite kitchen, but they did not like the result. The actress, who was not accustomed to bend her soul, spoke directly about her disappointment.

Personal life

According to Irina Muravyova herself, in her early youth she did not aspire to get married and dreamed only of a career. While working in the theater, she met the director Leonid Eidlin, who in 1973 offered a charming girl with huge radiant eyes a hand and a heart.

Two years later, the couple had their first son, Daniel, and in 1983, the second, Eugene. Irina turned out to be a good mother and wife, a real homemaker. She is proud that the children Danya and Zhenya, unlike most of the acting offspring, grew up at home, and not in the dusty theatrical backstage or in the backyard of the shooting pavilions. The actress easily refused tempting roles in theater and cinema if there was no one to leave the children with. Filmed only in Moscow and did not leave the city for many months of expeditions.

The grown up sons also appeared in the cinema, playing couriers in the serial film "With new happiness!" Daniel subsequently studied at a law school, took an acting course in the French Ecole d'Art de Blois and Ateliers Acteurstudio, continues to act. Eugene graduated from the production department of GITIS, opened a restaurant, but in 2017 the business went bankrupt.

Irina is twice a grandmother. The first grandson Ivan was born in 2005 in the family of Daniel, the youngest, the son of Eugene, appeared in 2017, but the public found out about this only at the end of January 2018.

In 2014, the idyll in the Muravyova-Eidlin family ended tragically: at the end of January, Leonid Danilovich was admitted to the hospital with a stroke, and on February 16 he died. This tragedy became a serious test for the popular artist, but Irina managed to find the strength to live on.

The beloved movie star retired from the hustle and bustle of the outside world to the maximum distance. Muravyova does not attend social events, does not like journalists and does not accept proposals from the creators of popular television projects.

Rumor has it that Irina Vadimovna has gone headlong into religion and even believes that it is indecent for her, as a believing woman, to appear in public and star in too "depraved" modern melodramas. The artist is not interested in cinema, in which her conscience has disappeared, there are no heroes and ideals, "where the viewer does not understand why Anna Karenina threw herself under the train."

Irina Muravyova, according to colleagues, after the death of her husband is often sick: she has serious problems with blood vessels. A woman feels physical and moral relief in the church, at the service.

In 2003, after the actress played the role of a parishioner-candlestick in the melodrama "Savior under the Birches", rumors spread that Irina was leaving for a monastery. Muravyova reassured her fans, asking not to believe the media and not draw parallels between cinema and personal life.

The great artist remains humane and attentive to others. In 2016, Muravyova supported her young colleague Irina Leonova, with whom she serves at the Maly Theater. She was very upset about parting with her husband Yevgeny Tsyganov and was forced to return to the stage from maternity leave ahead of schedule.

In the summer of 2017, the actress was blacklisted by the Ukrainian site "Peacemaker" for "deliberately violating the state border" in 2016 when she came to Crimea on tour.

Now the playbill of the Maly Theater includes only 2 performances with Irina Vadimovna's participation - Gogol's "The Marriage", where the actress plays the cunning matchmaker Fekla Ivanovna, and the detective drama "Eight Loving Women" about the guests of the estate suspected of murdering the owner. Muravyova's partners on stage are Lyudmila Titova, Olga Pashkova, Inna Ivanova, Svetlana Amanova.

In the fall of 2018, the artist, closed from the press, opened in the author's program of Igor and Vadim Vernikov on the Culture channel. Irina Vadimovna admitted that she refused to be frank with journalists, fearing to say something superfluous and thereby cause discontent among her parents. And this was when she had already become famous, even my mother asked why her daughter did not give interviews.

In 2019, Irina Muravyova celebrates her anniversary. The solemn date coincides with the tour in Israel. The artist is taking the Promised Land to an entreprise production of On the Strings of the Rain.
