The panel of judges did not consider it a blues composition, as required by the terms of the competition.

For the 1975 World Championship in Colorado Springs, Tarasova creates a new blues and invites Valeria Kokhanovskaya as a choreographer. In 3 days they manage to stage a new dance. Irina's couple becomes the first, having skated the program beautifully, cleanly and emotionally. In 1976, at the Olympics in Innsbruck, Irina Moiseeva and Andrei Minenkov took silver, in the same year at the World Championships they took another 2nd place.

The next year is not easy for Irina. At the USSR championship, during a warm-up, a girl collides with one of the skaters and falls, hitting the ice hard. Later it turned out that the athlete had a concussion. Despite Moiseeva's painful condition, the couple wins gold.

A week later, the skaters take part in the European Championship, where Irina could not resist falling during the original dance. But the athletes braced themselves and after a brilliant performance of the free program they become champions of the continent.

In Tokyo, in 1977, at the world championship, the couple took the first step of the podium for the second time and in 1978 won the European championship again. It is noteworthy that the program of Moiseeva and Minenkov for the first time in the history of figure skating was set to music from one piece of music with a single storyline.

In 1979, Tatyana Tarasova transfers the pair to another coach. The reason for the cardinal decision is the conflicts of the couple. Athletes go to Lyudmila Pakhomova, but Irina and Andrei worked with her for only a year. Then the skaters train under the guidance of Natalia Dubova. In 1983, at the Luzhniki Stadium, Irina Moiseeva and Andrei Minenkov at the tournament for the prizes of the Moscow News newspaper say goodbye to sports and end their careers.

At the 1977 World Championships in Tokyo, where the couple won gold, another significant event takes place in the skater's personal life - Irina and Andrei decided to get married. Without thinking twice, the bride gathered in Japanese shops in search of a wedding dress. The required size and height, and Irina has 173 cm, was hardly found in an English store. The wedding took place immediately after the return of the champions to Moscow.

After leaving the sport, the couple had a daughter, Elena. Irina Valentinovna's husband is in business. Moiseeva worked as a trainer for some time, taught young children.
