Surucianu releases albums with songs performed in Moldovan and Russian. In 1986 the singer became the soloist of the group "Real". Such earnings allowed the artist to buy a Volga car.

Suruchanu took part in the filming of musical films, in one of which he was paired with the famous Moldovan singer Sofia Rotaru. Together they recorded a number of melodic duets. Another famous singer's duet was recorded together with a performer named Maria Codreanu.

In the early 2000s, the artist continued to release albums on CD. Three more collections were added to the discography of Ion Surucianu: “Ninge floarea de tei”, “20 years later: Ion Surucianu sings the songs of Jan Raiburg” and “Roze, roze”. Later, a clip was created for the song "Forget-me-not", which became popular during the years of the existence of the USSR. The video also appeared for the musical composition "What's the matter with you?"
