Returning home, the guy worked at an aircraft factory as a repairman, while preparing the repertoire for admission. The next year, according to the results of the entrance exams, he is enrolled in the Moscow Art Theater School (course of V.K.Monyukov), from which he graduated in 1983.

In 1988, realizing that the main roles would have to wait for a long time, together with his friends (Roman Kozak, Alexander Feklistov, Grigory Manukov, Dmitry Brusnikin and Sergei Zemtsov), he organized the theater-studio "Man", where the performances "Cinzano" and " Elizaveta Bam at Ivanov's Christmas tree.

In February 2017, Igor, together with the winner of the 5th season of the “Voice” show Daria Antonyuk and the director of the House of Actor Alexander Zhigalkin, attended the “Evening Urgant” program, where he shared with viewers his plans for the future future of their theatrical establishment.
