Igor Raiberg was known by his fans as Igor Sorin, one of the three soloists of the once mega-popular group "Ivanushki International".

Igor was born in November 1969 into an intelligent Moscow family of Svetlana Sorina (it was his mother's surname that the son took as his stage name) and Vladimir Raiberg. Igor Sorin's dad was a creative person. By profession, a design engineer, he was admitted to the Union of Writers of Russia, he painted beautifully.

In an interview, Svetlana Alexandrovna admitted that in childhood, the son was a difficult and unpredictable child. The boy's extraordinary curiosity and the desire to try everything himself sometimes crossed the dangerous line. The son fearlessly wandered through hot places, descended on a makeshift raft along the river, clung to the train on the way. And he also wrote poetry - not at all for children, from which adults' hair stood on end.

In addition to the poetic gift, Igor Sorin showed musical talent very early. The guy sang beautifully and improvised. If we combine all the talents of Sorin, then a born artist appeared before our eyes. Probably, the boy was drawn in this direction for a long time, because once he read an ad about screen tests for the heroes of the children's film "The Adventures of Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn" and immediately went to audition.

Igor Sorin overcame a considerable competition and was approved for Tom Sawyer. But at the insistence of Nikita Mikhalkov, the film's director Stanislav Govorukhin replaced him with another boy, Fyodor Stukov.

The insult from such injustice turned out to be so great that the failed artist jumped from the 2nd floor. Fortunately, without consequences. Govorukhin decided to still involve Sorin in the film, giving him the role of Joe Harper.

After graduating from the 8th grade, Igor Sorin decided to get some kind of specialty before serving in the army. He entered the capital's radio-mechanical college. During his studies, he created a musical group, which performed quite successfully on the stage of the technical school and even began to win prizes in the capital's competitions.

After graduating from college, Sorin entered Gnesinka, choosing the department of musical comedy.

In the 3rd year Igor Sorin interrupted his studies in order to participate in the musical "Metro", which was successfully cast by the Warsaw Drama Theater "Minskoff". After a short rehearsal, the theater went on a foreign tour. But the artists did not have much success in Europe and America. After performing on Broadway, the troupe was advised to learn some more. The only Metro artist who was offered to stay to study in America was the soloist of the musical Igor Sorin. But he refused. In this country, he had no relatives or acquaintances. And there was no means for life.

A notable moment of this touring period of Igor Sorin was his acquaintance with Andrei Grigoriev-Appolonov. He was admitted to the Metro as a dancer.

After returning from America, Sorin recovered in Gnesinka and continued his studies. At this time, he first appeared on the screen. In the popular program "The Director for Himself", the musician tried himself as a co-author of scripts and an actor in the heading "Got it".

For some time after graduating from college Igor Sorin worked at the Academic Monkey Theater.

Deafening fame and incredible popularity fell on Igor Sorin only after his performances as part of the Ivanushki International group. Andrey Grigoriev-Apollonov made an offer to join his joint project with Kirill Andreev in 1994. Sorin agreed. After the first months of rehearsals, it became clear that the group would enjoy success.

Indeed, from 1995 to 1998, "Ivanushki" traveled all the republics of the former USSR. The success was tremendous. Their concerts were packed with stadiums of fans. After the release of the second video for the song "Clouds", the guys woke up like stars.

Overcrowded halls of many thousands, the storming of hotels where the collective stayed, hysterical female fans with armfuls of flowers and plush toys - all this pretty tired Ivanushki. But Igor Sorin suffered most from this. The erudite, who more than once recommended to his fans to read classical literature, he was clearly not at ease. He did not have time to write poetry and philosophically contemplate the world.

In the spring of 1998, after finishing work on the last album "Your Letters", Sorin decided to leave the group and start a solo career.

To take a break from the hustle and bustle, Igor Sorin went on a small cruise. Upon his return, he took up a solo project. It was created together with the musicians of the Formatsia DSM group. The first recorded composition was called "Mermaid". She was to begin Sorin's solo album.

In the first years of Gnesinka, Igor Sorin met with Valentina Smirnova. The girl was a singer and actress. But when the musician went on a long tour with the musical "Metro", Valentina remained in Moscow. Upon returning to Russia, the couple broke up.

In 1994, Igor Sorin's personal life changed: he met Sasha Chernikova. Alexandra studied at the 1st year of the same Gnesinka, but at the conducting department. The couple lived together until 1998, until that fateful September day. They rented an apartment in Kuntsevo and seemed to be quite happy together.

The morning of September 1, 1998 was the last for the musician. In the rented studio apartment, where Sorin's album was being recorded, he came as usual, in the early morning. And at 7.10 Igor was brought to the 71st city hospital in Moscow. As it turned out, he fell from the 6th floor, from the balcony of the same apartment.

After many hours of operation, Igor Sorin came to his senses, but he could not explain anything. Said he jumped off himself. But why - remained a mystery, which the musician took with him forever after 3 days, on September 4.

No traces of alcohol or drugs were found in the musician's blood. His suicide note remained in the apartment, in which it was written: “To my relatives. Mom. Dad. Sasha. EVERYTHING. But like poetry, a chick is born. FLY ".

After the death of Igor Sorin, many guesses and rumors appeared. Many, including his former colleague Grigoriev-Apollo, agreed on the version of the murder. Some acquaintances blamed the Reiki Caduceus religious movement for the death of the poet and musician. Recently, Igor allegedly was in it.

But the official version was only one - suicide.
