The ensemble was popular not only among girls, but also among school teachers, who unanimously recognized the talent of the young musician. It seemed that the boy's future was a foregone conclusion, but after school he “made a knight's move” and unexpectedly for everyone he chose a completely non-creative profession. Choosing the area of ​​trade as a matter of life, Igor entered the local technical school, after which he went to serve in the army.

Having paid his debt to his homeland, Latyshko did not return to Dnepropetrovsk, but moved to Leningrad, where he got a job at the 79th store as a deputy manager. An economic career promised material well-being, but the love of music took its toll. Igor began to study at a jazz school, working in parallel. The hard work of a loader, a foundryman and a pressman did not quench the passion for the chosen business.

For emotional relaxation, the young man sang in amateur ensembles, and in the mid-1980s, together with the Dubl 1 collective, he achieved success at the 1st All-Union Competition for Young Pop Performers, becoming a laureate. Here Latyshko was noticed and sent to study with a vocal teacher. Vera Dukalskaya directed Igor's talent in the right direction, for which the man is grateful to the woman to this day. He felt that music was becoming a real vocation and profession.

The musician prefers not to talk about his personal life. It is known that he started a family early and, having moved to Leningrad, was forced to take care of the food for his wife and two children.
