Igor Khristenko was born on July 4, 1959 in Rostov-on-Don. The boy grew up in the family of the ballerina Alla Pavlovna Polyakova, who received the title of Honored Artist of the Tajik SSR, and the opera singer Vladlen Semenovich Khristenko.
